Its usually client side so you will probably get "logs show nothing". I have never been desynced 500k though, but i guess the faster your ship the more you can desync.

If this game is still around a few patches from now (I expect it too) I may try it again then. Otherwise, you can probably find me on planetside 2 or something. Losing in-game effort to a bug, which is CCP's problem, is just too fun-breaking for me. Hopefully they fix it

Hopefully they fix it I'm sorry you did lose the ship this way, never once in my 4 years of playing have I ever heard of desync but I have had similar to the same incidents happen before. CCP will go to great lengths to sink isk and dread having to give people stuff back. Good luck and I hope they do give you your ship back as this sort of things shouldn't happen, maybe even double it for inconveniences.

Well you died anyway and could not do anything about it. So if you did log out and logged back in at least I think the desync would be cleared and you could then shoot back as you would be what's the term "fixed" as in CCP's log would show that nothing was wrong. Because it is your client that is wrong not the server. So relogging should clear that up. Maybe you still die anyway. But at least you did something.
