And yet another victim in the empire pirates wannabee squad.
What is it with people who sits at gates in empire and ganking innocent people just passing through? What do they actually get out of it??? In my personal view they are nothing but lame noobs who wants to be pirates but lack the balls and/or skills to actually go where people wanna fight. So instead they camp gates in empire and ruin the game for new players who are trying to make their way up in this game. CCP, whats the damn points of sentrys in 0,4 and down? They have 0 effect anyway, so why are they there? Pirates wannabee's, go to 0,0 and pick a fight with someone interested in fighting instead of making new players stop the game.

Edited by: Dionysus Davinci on 08/04/2005 15:44:07 I got some guns to put on my Interceptor at a discount rate of the cost of my ammo. All the haulers where either empty :/ and the ony one that came by full of millions in trade goods I let go because I knew him ;_;

Thank you. It takes lots of skill points to do that in a Megathron.

Lemme ask u this Dionysus Davinci
Why dont u go to 0,0 and pick a fight with someone who actually wants to fight instead of shooting up people in empire? Too hard?

Yea but Davinci, were you ganking innocent ppl or did you gank a ceptor that was negative to venture? I know that venture are not piwates.
I've camped .4-.1 systems and helped gank the gankers. theres a difference.
And personally, I like the wannabees that camp gates in .4-.1. they give me more targets, and for the most part they arent nearly as good as the players in 0.0 but they usually have some juicy modules on.

Nah, it's just funny and if you you are lucky you can really hit the jack pot. BTW, if you don't want to fight stay in .5 and up.

without this factor eve would not be as rich or diverse as it is....let me ask u a question..after u have 10 bil cash in the bank all yer faction ships n bs`s coming outa yer ass and uber skills in gunnery etc etc would u not be tempted to play the game as it was really intended to be played ....uber player against uber player and if u happened to cap a noob in the process...well but i see your point learn from this dont take past 0.4 what u cant afford to lose.......

This was before Venture. It has been a while since I did it last. Then I was pirating and killing haulers in Syndicate for a bit. I ransomed a few pods and let them go. Being a pirate isn't about looking for a fair fight. It is about making isky at someone elses expense.

Ahh Dionysus Davinci, here we go again, "Dont wanna fight, stay in ,5 and up" argument. What i dont get is how u guys can have so much taking the complete fun out for a new players? U say, sometimes u hit the jackpot, well im pretty damn sure u can hit the jackpot in 0,0 alot more often, haulers transfering highend ores, frigs, cruisers and bs with named modules etc, but again, i guess the competition is to hard for people like u, so u rather ruin the game for a noob player then actually take a risk.

So wait - what happened was, Luxille, a newb in an ELITE FRIG, was going afk autopilot travelling in under .5 space and got killed by Dionysis. First of all, if you're hurt by the loss of an elite frig you shouldn't be in one. Second, if you don't know the risks of under .5 space, you aren't ready to fly an elite ship of any sort, except maybe a transport ship. Third, pirates are criminals, which means they act in defiance of the law. There's not really much law in the pirate-infested areas of 0.0, so, those people there aren't really pirates, per se. The ones who sit around in empire and kill careless newbs in ships they aren't yet ready to fly are the pirates. Tasteless as it may seem. Supremacy Keepin it Real |

Judoman, i can see your point, but again, no matter what, u will always have people who has alot of skillpoints/isk at the same time u will have noob players who hasnt got anything compared. So, wouldnt u think it was more appropriate that the experienced players battled each other instead of experienced vs noobs? Defently i think that. Again, whats the point of blowing up a new player when u are an experienced player? In my eyes the experienced player is a ballless guy

Usually, the haulers in 0.0 are not full of high end Minerals. Since Minerals don't take up much room, most people with a brain use a covert ops ship or a 7 WCS BS to move their days mining out of 0.0
When you get to low security empire you have over secure players that will move BPO and haulers full of minerals for production worth 100s of millions.
The best hauler kill I ever got gave me 3 BPO, some Megacyte from 2 or 3 courier packages he was hauling. Which I kind of feel bad, because I proably costed him millions in isky for the colletrial.

Unfortunatly CCP have drove pirates to do this. The "hunt" is almost extinct which is not what the pirate wants.
Just like you chain npc's we chain players for isk.

Arimas Talasko, what does it really matter what kinna ship one flys? Make it an indy, an elite frig a BS for all i care. Why is it that "Pirates" can decide what i can fly? Im not doing any harm to anyone. All im asking is, whats the point if killing people with out getting any resistance? If u like to shoot things, why dont go where u can actually get a fight, where people will shoot back. Again, imho people taking out others in empire that dont shoot back and very simple minded.

But u do realise that u may ruin the game for many of theese players dont u? Take some new player who worked to get the frig/cruiser/BS he really wants. And after he picked it up he gets blown up on the way back in his shinny new ship. Where is the reason in that? What good does it do u?

See it as a job then, and when we want extra heartrate many often do get out to 0.0. But u don't seem to understand that If the Customer shoot back u haven't done your job right, woot they may be in. If it is multiple BS u got, then make them understand that it is no use to fire if they wan't to live ....Fast respons here but u r lifting up a "fair" issue that do not exist, just the hounor of the word laid, if any.
Will prolly edit this later ,,C ya

Still u must be able to see my point, how can it be fun to shoot someone who doesnt shoot back? IF u like to pvp isnt it more fun to actually have a fight rather than only u shooting?
And why not make ,4 and down 0,0 since there is no real difference besides the sentrys which really arent anything good anyway

Actually i dont. Considering the first time you enter .4 it gives you a warning about the danger of entering low sec space. You enter an agreement that you MIGHT be shot and MIGHT be killed. TBH, there are very Few empire pirates anymore...

I see ya point, but what some seems to forget is that they actually dont give a crap if they ruin the game for someone else.
Dont get me wrong, i defently wouldnt wanna see eve without pvp, but if i wanna fight, i go out of empire and into 0,0. Why cant people just let the new players have their playground in empire? I mean the pvp'ers have plenty of space to do their shooting in.
