Proud to say I was part of it, but the dark side turned me.
Was really hard back in release after sufferring a major blow to the corp when the long standing directors decided they didn't like they way things were going and thus "ROBBED" us, causing many months of work to vanish, and really dis-hearten people. I still hold the vendetta for the previous directors. They really ruind the first months of Eve for me and many others.
LoL I remember CT my first corp from beta.

Edited by: Vortex Freeman on 12/04/2005 22:21:32 Roving Guns Inc. should be one of the oldest corporations in EVE. As the founder, not having left RG ever, I must be one of the guys who spent the most time in any single corp. The only corp I've ever been in.
Roving Guns Inc. has no plans of diminishing and we are as strong as ever, always been going in sortof a mid-gear because we have members all over the globe which makes it more difficult to coordinate operations. RG is a very relaxed corp and our members enjoy more freedom than in most other corps. We have many veteran players and is a pretty tight group. And yes RG existed in beta as well. --- Vortex Freeman CEO - Roving Guns Inc.

Just keep an eye on the Skills forum. There are regular threads in there for all the old timers to post their skills on. Currently it is beleived that Dr Scope is the highest and i think he clicked over the 30mil mark a few weeks ago. --------------------------------------------- Engineers motto; If it doesn't fit, force it. Caymus is the highest skillpoint, player created character out there (as far as anyone knows).
As for Critical Mass Enterprises - it's still running, so is up there with PIE in longest running, not sure if any of the original members still have characters in teh corp or not, most ohave left the game. It was also a Beta corp, they won one of the stations. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

The last I heard, Doctor Caymus had the most SPs.

CCP listed the firt 10 corps etc. awhile back...
Since every item seem to have an ID perhaps CCP could assist this thread by looking up the first 10 BS, BS BPO, etc.
It's always interesting to know the true history of eve :D ----------------------------------------

Xanadu corp were a part of the eve community like a few others from around 10 months before beta release. We had a substantial number of members, some of who still play today, in every stage of the beta - i recall we owned the first POS in the beta, among other things. Because Xanadu is a multi game community there are still a large number of original xanadus from the beta or first weeks of gameplay still playing today.I have people who have been playing in Xanadu since creation in 1998.
Our goals have always remained the same with a commercial core supporting the majority of the alliance which is why xanadu members want for nothing. Our commercial enterprises started literally from the first few days and continue with of course todays extensive tech2 stocks. I think we can safely say that anyone in eve who has bought off the market has purchased xanadu items at some time in their career. As is the general gist of eve these days we are now much more military orientated in response to a rise in pirate corporations.

Originally by: hired goon Not BIG? I seem to remember them pre-release.
My EVE copy was 5'ish days late (dont recall excactly) so the creation of BIG in release got a bit delayed due to that - Thus we are not in the 'top 10 of earliest corps created'
But yes - We've been around since Beta, and the corp still works the same way it's always done.
I think we have a good handfull of beta players still - Yours truly included.
And did you know - The BIG Lottery is the longest running player 'thing' /'event'/whatever. Its been running since beta as well (had a single round at the end of Beta - and its been runnning ever since)

That was Cornexant (CNX). Cornexant was later reformed as Cornexant Inc. (CNXi) and ultimately merged with Xanadu.
We (I played in CNX with another char back then) lost the battleship to m0o BTW. Cant remember the type of the Battleship though... --- "Why can't we all just get along?" |

Oracle was started during Beta4 and though now part of Masuat'aa Matari, many of us still consider Oracle as active.
Huzzah, Omega, Haydin Drive, Oberon, BSC, PIE, MASS, EV, these are some other old timers.
