I'm absolutely sick of finding your little 'suprises' on my *snip* ships every time theres a new patch. Thanks for letting us know you changed ALL the pulses, instead of just megapulse, and you changed the hybrid ammo ranges, among other numerous things (that for the sake of being concise I'll leave out).
Just ffs, give us a full patchnotes instead of throwing crap at us and saying 'suprise!'

Also, nice that they nerfed pulse range 38%, not 28% like advertised. ---------------------------

I wish I'd bought one now, heh. While my Deimos wasn't affected too much with the changes, all my amarr ships are toast and I'm gonna have to redo the setups.

holy crap you're right about hybrid ammo changes...
Now antimatter, plutonium and uranium all have -50% range penalty and take up alot of cap and do alot of damage
Iridium, tungsten and iron all have +50% range penalties
Lead and Thorium in the middle with no bonus/penalty to range
plus, damage types moved around alot except for antimatter and iron i think

The omissions in the patch notes are being looked into and will be added ASAP. Apologies for those affected by the lack of complete notes.

There you go. Now, the ammo changes aren't in the patchnotes. I think they weren't supposed to go in; Oveur said he wanted more testing on them, and looking at hybrid ammo, large and medium were changed but small was not. |

Here's a nerf that wasn't mentioned in the notes:
The menu item "Open Cargo" doesn't appear in the context menu until you are actually within 1500m of a loot can. You never could open a can farther out than 1500m but you could at least anticipate a bit. Now, the already tedious chore of collecting loot cans after a mission has been rendered even more tedious.
I truly cannot fathom why the devs would spend time and other resources to nerf opening loot cans.

Hammer, I think you overnerfed Heavy pulses by accident. Mega pulses were reduced by 28% like advertised, but my heavies seem like they were reduced by a good 35%. Any other zealot users find similar results? ---------------------------

I suppose I have it a bit easier. It's just now approaching 1800 for me. Still a long day in front of the computer, but not as long as it has been for the Devs working on the patch issues.

They shouldn't be "overnerfed". If you can give me some hard numbers I'll check it out. Maybe you're looking at it with crystals included? Medium Pulse I went from 7000 m to 5000 m and Heavy Pulse I went from 14000 m to 10000 m. Check the gun unfitted. The old stats are still here until t20 updates the site: Item DB

Yea, I am looking at with crystals and fitted, but that is how one actually fights, so that was my main interest.
However, I think it's a rounding thing. Checking various crystal fits, it ranges anywhere from 29-37% nerf, so I think it's just a display thing. The worst is the 37, but that's on multis, so a rounding thing could definitely throw it out of whack easily. The actual nerf is probably just as advertised. Sorry for jumping to conclusions :/
Well, no matter what, glad I trained beam spec to IV as well. ---------------------------

Just playing around with it though Hammer, I do think this revision is better then the last one you were toying with.
Iridium having a kinetic bias as a long range ammo kinda evens everything out.

Edited by: Valerien on 13/04/2005 03:41:29 heh, how'd those ammo changes slip in then? Someone got a little too trigger happy with the "Check In" action in SourceSafe?
edit:
BTW some other things i noticed that I don't recall being in the patch notes:
-throwing items into station containers no longer locks them by default
-station containers remember their sort order
-when you warp to deadspace location you land right on top of it instead of 15km away

Edited by: Allen Deckard on 13/04/2005 03:47:00 um to tiard to fully look at it but either my raven got it's cpu reduced or my launchers got their cpu usage increased. cause I can't fit all of them now.
oops just read a bit more is probably the t2 shield booster cpu usage
2 more days of training will fix it but would have been nice to know ahead so I could have had it trained.
