As much as everyone ****es and moans about stuff in the game (myself included), no one should have to stay as late as 1 am at work... you guys should get some sleep.
Trust me, the problems will still be there in the morning. ---------------

Wouldn't be so bad on the pulses losing 30% range and damage on some crystals if the reqs were dropped as well. Same requirements for 30% less gun seems wrong. ______________________ There are three truths: my truth, your truth and the truth, I endeavor to find the latter. |

So what's up with the Tech II ship insurance?
Talk about a stealth change... and if ones assumes that construction costs for tech II ships haven't changed talk about handing a sploit right into the lap of everyone with a tech II ship BPO or BPC.
So we are faced with a dual super stealth change OR a Stealth change coupled with a very exploitable situation.
Rock on.

Originally by: Valerien BTW some other things i noticed that I don't recall being in the patch notes:
-throwing items into station containers no longer locks them by default
-station containers remember their sort order
-when you warp to deadspace location you land right on top of it instead of 15km away
Awesome.
Nice.
Sweet.

The insurance payout was not intended to be this high, using this will be concidered as exploiting. If the payout is still exceptionally high on tq we would appreciate it if you could report a bug or even file an exploit petition.

Well at least we know it was an intended change. Therefore a stealth change.
As for payout.... the numbers (in the posts you deleted for obvious reasons) were from TQ as of 22:00pm EVE time last night.
Haven't had the chance (due to work) to relog since.

No, if the situation is unchanged from last night then a petition will do as well, then the awake GM's know about it at least

It presents an exploitable situation, regargless of wether someone is using it or not it should be reported.

Wow, this patch really restored my confidence in CCP's version control.
EVERY SINGLE TIME. EVERY SINGLE ONE. SOME STUPID OLD BUG OR CHANGE THAT WASN'T FINISHED TESTING GETS CODED IN.
Not too much after 2 years is it, to ask that you only change what you say you're changing or at least bother to tell us.

I was so looking forward to seeing CCP get one right after all the tremendously botched patches of late, don't know why I got my hopes up at all.

you have too high expectations!. Chill out and wait until they get it right. If you have played for two years you have got to have some faith in the Dev team ----------------------------------------

What happened with the hardener effects being removed and the agent mission bonus times being changed. Vengence still only gives you 45 mins to complete it.

No, I have an addiction.
Having started with EVE, quit EVE, tried other games, come back to EVE, I play the game for it's tremendous vision and depth.
I have, however, lost all confidence in the team behind it to implement even a single change to one statistic in game without breaking or altering at least ten more.
I play because despite the Devs best attempts to break it every patch or to drive the playerbase into a frenzy of hate with unreported or unintended changes, there's still a good game underneath.
Edit: As for chilling out and waiting, I could probably name a dozen broken or altered items that haven't been fixed in a year, so, no, I don't hold my breath and expect them to make it right, history doesn't show me that they always will.

Well i suppose the gamecode is rather complex to handle all the stuff in eve. It is impossible to calculate all the things that might get affected when implementing a patch. So cut the devs some slack here. Im sure they are doing everything in there power to fix this ASAP!
The devs still have my full confidence, good work guys.

Changing the CPU of a Shield Booster 2 is a database entry, so how come it got changed?
Changing Hybrid ammo is a database entry, so how come it got changed?
These ARE NOT server or patch issues, these are some cretin changing the wrong things or changing them and not telling anyone.

I'd imagine that chanigne the db entries manually is quite a labor-intensive way of working, considering the amount of variables that need to be changed and that they use patches to automate changes ;/
could be wrong ofc

Then they need to look into the system they use and how it's used.
They could save themselves a lot of hassle, effort and forum whinage by making it work first time, rather than the half-assed things we see every patch.

IMHO itÆs a fair point. (even if Valentine does need to calm down)
In business one would not expect to have a product provided before it was ready. I doubt the Amarrian empire would commission a brand new battleship and sell it to the Emperors mates before realising that some Minmatar slave accidentally fitted it with 1400 projectiles, or forgot to put the engines in.
CCP is a business and it should act as one. We all know the people there work hard and they will always have their critics, but at the end of the day, if they make a mistake they should look at learning from these lessons and make plans to avoid a repeat. In my 2 years in the game I have not seen this happen.
Let's get this straight, if a girl has to be "rescued" 10 times a week from a brothel shes not a damsel but a prostitute.

I must confess I thought the whole point of Sisi etc was to test patches before they were applied.
So how come we then get a bundle of stuff going in that was never applied in the test patches? Is it actually a quite different set of software (e.g. different database as more distributed server?) which is why there's usually so much grief when porting to the main system?
But halle-effing-lujah on finally fixing the auto-lock in station cans. Might actually be able to use them now! Even if they didn't tell us about it!
(Less convinced by the cargo can change, however frustrating it was to have blank windows open (and have to be closed again) when you were just out of range still. Me, I just want it so if it says 1500m or less on the overview then the can will open, lag or no lag! )

well i have been looting rat kills today and found it initally frustrating that i cant open as i approach 1500m but now all i do is if im ABing in in my thorax at around 250 m /sec then 3 seconds off at 2000 m i hit the open cargo button that is working fine and im no longer frustrated
Must commend on a very good patch a lot less lag and much more usable i think CCP have delivered far and above what we should have expected and so far any minor issues have been just thta. Which i reckon will be recitified in the 1 hour DT tonight
