Proteus ship services will soon be offering ships and modules for sale at reasonable prices in an as-of-yet undisclosed area of 0.0 space. It is not claimed by any major aliance.
We are interested in feedback as to which module and ship types would be of interest to people in this type of area. We have reasonable ideas ourselves, but customer input is highly valued.
We shall not be exploiting the mineral or rat resources of any system we enter, in order to avoid conflict with local interests.
We are also sounding out a market for repair services in deepspace areas - providing repair and resupply in systems far from stations. Please do indicate if this would be of any use.
We await your feedback with anticipation.

Thanks for your reply, and we are definitely aware of the dangers involved. We'll be treading extremely cautiously, and hopefully people in the area will come to realise that we are a help and not an enemy. However, we do have some friends in the area, and if things do not work out we'll put it down as a lesson learnt and move on.

Edited by: ZeeWolf on 20/04/2005 13:44:11 Are there any 0.0 areas that arent claimed by an alliance, apart from that PC-E8R?(the area thats constantly under war, but im not sure if thats even 0.0 or spelt correctly)

its ec-p8r =]
but if you're going to start 0.0 production, AMMO AMMO AMMO, you can never have too much =]
i would also recomend, incursuses, rifters, punishers, crucifiers, blackbirds, caracals, electronic warefare modules, and maybe some exotic dancers to keep the soldiers happy

Thankyou all for the advice! I shall this evening be exploring the anticipated location in a little more depth (very carefully...) and picking a final location for production. All your suggestions have been noted and hopefully will be acted on! Now, lets start with some torps...

Curse and surrounding areas would make you the most money, as long as you don't have to keep replacing your own ships and implants Intereresting idea, good luck with it.

Thankyou for all your advice! It's most appreciated :) Looking at the map, Curse looks rather scary to try and get into at the moment but I shall certainly bear it in mind for the future!

p.s. Curse is a terrible place to sell stuff, the local population are underpaid pvp'ers who generally have 100m or less in their wallets. GW would offer you more opportunity to get high returns on your products but also is highly saturated with self-sufficient pilots and ample competition.

Edited by: SageOfMystery on 20/04/2005 21:49:30 i think the best way to find the mods to sell, is look at ship mods(player killboards) , ( on smaller ships more then bigger ones as you dont really fit a bs on the go) and sell the ship itself and the mods in the same station youll have 1 player buy a ship and mods from you just because its easy, of corse taking into considration you wont be charging 90 mil for a 1 mn mwd

I think your best bet would be to fly somewhere in a shuttle or interceptor and find who is there a lot. The contact a member in local to see who you should contact about this. A person that provides battleships and battleship mods can definitly expect cooperation from reasonable locals.

Well, I've spent the evening flying round one system in a shuttle pursued by a bunch of pre-pubescent 'pirates' who can't even spell one word in 5 correctly. Finally escaped from there, and am now in an area that does at least seem populated by adults!
Looking at the market here, almost nothing is available at all, and what is tends to be a long way away. We shall be setting up to provide in the near future from a likely station, and look forward to serving the 0.0 market very soon.
Thanks again to all for the invaluable advice!

one thing you should take note of is that alot of alliances is not to keen on people selling mods in their stations.
Reason for this is that its not only them who can dock and just get another new ship, but also their enemies

Anyone found to be supplying an enemy to an alliance will also be placed onto the KOS list to that alliance.
Haulers full of mods destined for enemy hands make a really nice bonus to any alliance.

Can you refrain from openly flaming someone who wants to help the residents of 0.0?
Seeing as how Foundation & GW is pretty much cut off from interfering in any other alliance, I don't think anyone would give a **** about your KOS list.

Most actually means more than 50% in this context
Low blow but had to be pointed out, my apologies!
Good luck to the entrepeneurs looking to trade in 0.0, you're gonna need it I think.
If you want a better and safer bet for your trade I have a couple of ideas, convo me in game if you want.

i suggest that you spend some time looking at the map, getting in contact with the locals and such.
the idea is good, and i know a few people who do this for a living. (i use a empire based shipping company from time to time when i need some stuff moved/ammo delivered)
be fair with your prices (nobody is going to buy something at 200% overprice willingly), talk to the locals and see if you can figure out who's who in the area can save you from quite a bit of trouble.
other than that, a quick mind and some practical experience and youre all set to go. _____________________________ Ex-Coretech, We still shoot people. |
