Not what I wanted to hear! I'm moving to the Atlantic TZ in a few months. I'm not too worried though because it can't be any worse than the Japan TZ. |

Just means you can make more ISK without reds ruining your day! 
I have heard from past corp mates that it's pretty bad though, just look for a corp/alliance that has a lot of members in your timezone.

The issue is quantity not quality.
I have occasionally left work early to take part in a scheduled EU OP.
For people in Atlantic time, your best bet is to find a Corp that is strong in both EU and American time zones, as they will sometimes do OPGÇÖs for the overlap time when both groups can take part, and these are very conveniently timed for us Atlantic time zone people.
If I get on before work in the morning I can hang out with the Australians. And yes, it is probably better than Japanese time zone. |

Join a corp with EDT players. Problem solved. I kinda like the fact that most people have already bailed by the time I get going in the evening. Makes my low sec activity more fun. |

Working from home helps alleviate the pain.
Anyone got metrics on kills per hour over the course of every day of the week / month / year?
Hard to say anything 'trendwise' about how active pvp is during hours of the day without some facts to look at.

If I log in at 6:30pm the only people on are the EU folks sitting around in the station talking about all the great battles they fought that day.
I suppose that if I was in a corp with a bunch of US:EST people it would not be that bad, but most of the Corps I have been in have only had a few US:EST people and they generally set their training, read their mail, check their PI and such until some of the other US people come on. By the time someone gets a roam going I am lucky if I have an hour left before I am wanting to get off for bed, although if things get interesting I can squeeze another hour in without being too tired in the morning.
I will concede though that if you are a Low or Null Sec Carebear, then Atlantic Time would rock! Unfortunately I am more of a pirate. |

You could probably estimate it based off of Battle Clinic data. It's not super accurate, but you could get a rough estimation.
