Thanks hun, but I'd like to point out that experienced guys also can't go wrong . We have a lot of experience and are in no way, shape or form, a noob corp.
What we really want are people capable of living and operating in 0.0 (Miners, PvPers, PvErs) and Level 4 Agent runners.
Lots to offer you, just browse through this thread for details

At Eve Defence Force we like to create balance across all timezones. With this in mind, we're starting to have too many Europeans so until further notice, you will only be considered if you're very experienced in a particular area.
What we're looking for are more North American members, specifically Central and Pacific times and more South East Asain based players. The entry level for you guys will be lower than your European counterparts so have a good read through this thread and you'll see what we offer.
The exception to this is anyone who's already mailed us or posted on our forums. If you have, you will be treated equally
So just a quick recap on minimum requirements:
- Miners:Must be able to operate in 0.0 space
- PvPers got to be able to fly an interceptor upwards
- Agent Runners must have a Level 3 agent and be on the verge of Level 4
- Traders and Haulers must be able to fly Hoarder, Badger II, Bestower or Iteron IV
In return, we'll give you lots of fun and take care of all your skills and clones from corp funding, plus offer other corp benefits such as ship replacements etc.
So if you're interested, drop us a line at [email protected] and one of our recruiters will be in touch within 48 hours.

Not sure if I meet your requirements atm, but outside of physically getting there just how much different is mining in 0.0 vs. empire? Do you offer training? You target a rock, start the strip miners, jetcan for the hauler and pray yer cover kills the rats, NPC or otherwise, before they kill you...
North American, EST average 4-6 hours a night + weekends. ( less on wed & thursday and I get real distracted on fridays )
I'd also like to branch out into production at some point, I like to build my own ships ( retrievers, 3-4 frigs, 2 BC's and my mission runners armageddon. Working on ferox, mega atm ) and would eventually like to dabble into T2.
I run 2 accounts, one for running missions ( though I am only l2 atm so don't qualify there ) and this one for mining, research, production ( i.e. all the goodies the mission running account don't have time to train ). I assume you'd want screenies of both for *security* purposes.
I'm interested but I'd ask to borrow or buy a retriever + strip miners / ice miners as needed since they're about as fast as a petrified snail and I am not flying mine from empire to 0.0 at that speed :-p
I'd also like advice on skills, i.e. what will make me the most useful the quickest while still meeting my overall goals ( mining, research & production )
Let me know if I should contact someone in game.
If not, grats on the free bump :-)

Dead simple guide to mining in 0.0:
Trade your existing Barge in at one of our Empire Offices Clone jump down Pick up your new Barge Join mining Ops and get paid for it
That simple really

Hello I am a noob character (less than a month old) but i come from playing SWG for the past 2 years where I was 2nd in Command of our servers largest guild. I am very interested in you Corp. Currently I am training mainly the Learning skills. I have 2 of the Advanced skills already (editic mem to 4). I plan to continue on this path till most of my learning skills are at this level. I was informed this was the route to go since I plan on being here for a long time. I understand that your corp is currently not looking for characters at my level. Which is fine and understandable. Therefore I am just here to introduce myself and my interest in your Corp. I am also in Canada, Eastern Timezone. Character name: Heiki
I will submit a formal application to your website within a day or two.
Regards Heiki

Your in-game corp description shows that Eve Defence Force is not a member of any alliances, yet you also state that your corp is an "ASCN Citizen Corp". What exactly does this mean? Why is your corp not in the ASCN & what exactly IS an ASCN Citizen corp"?
Thank you

John I have a couple questions. Can a person move back and forth in divisions? If I wanted to mine mostly but do some pvp or building that isn't a problem? How many people do you have online usually on the US evening shift?
Tiberius
Somewhere ages and ages hence two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference Robert Frost |

1) Yes. Miners are under no obligation to PvP. PvPers are under no obligation to mine. We do not say you can't if you wish to though.
2) Enough

Edited by: Tauge on 24/07/2005 00:49:36 These guys are a good group. They make guys they don't like dead. They also have very pretty ships. And the miners have 0.0 access with cover and nice "safe" empire roids. Join them!

Fun group to be and fly with, you dont have to be a pvper they have a mining wing too so if you like to do both and want access to 0.0 this is the corp you need to apply too. I can garantuee you, you wont regret it, if i wasnt in a great corp already i would be defently flying under the EDF flag so come on in and enjoy

PvPers. I understand that to you, having a kill board is important. Well I'm working on one but here's an example of what you can be part of.
Last night one of EDF's Legions went behined enemy space and killed the following for a loss of a single Taranis:
- 1 x Kestrel
- 1 x Taranis
- 1 x Zealot
- 1 x Megathron
- 1 x Shuttle
- 1 x Wolf
- 1 x Buzzard
- 2 x POD
This wasn't a fleet operation, this was simply a raid. A bunch of guys flying around behined enemy lines looking for targets.
If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt in small ships, then Eve Defence Force can offer you a home.
Miners, my mining Directors tell me that you need to be challenged as well as getting rich. This is why we've structured things more.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine Ice.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine ore.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine whatever the hell you like and we'll buy it from you.
- Final day is yours to do with what you will. If you want to mine, we'll buy the ore from you.
You will also be given projects to work towards and be paid bonuses for going above and beyond what is asked of you. This means you're helping your corp grow, having fun, having a purpose and getting damn rich at the same time.
Agent runners, we're basing you out of a small cluster of systems based upon the Empire/Corp you do missions for. This will allow you to group together and help each other in group missions.
All this brings an unprecidented level of organisation within our corp and thus increases the amount of fun to be had.
So if you're interested in being part of this, drop us an e-mail and one of our Recruiters will be in touch.

In other words, you can't buy 0re from players like y0u say you can do. Isn't this a bit harsh way to try to get new members? By lying?
So eve pleyrs: As far as I've heard at least I would not join atm. I was planning on doing it after reading all those promises (even though they kind of sounded too good to be true), but then I contacted a few EDF members, who then told me how the situtation really is. Hah, so I'll just wait then.
But of course, I may be mistaking. I checked if John's last post was old. but it isn't. It is posted YESTERDAEE and I got that info from playerss just a few days ag

Edited by: Cauchy on 25/07/2005 16:12:28 Hah, and also what a shame. I was reading some previous posts by John:
"Join mining Ops and get paid for it"
This was post3d at the time when I actually TALKED to the EDF members. At a time one couldn't even get paid. What a noseance this is.
Just wondering: Creedy, are you lying or is there someting I'm missing? |

Cauchy, one we have plenty money, two, we had an experiment of paying miners per hour, but we have reverted to having personal ops now. I think the size of our corp says it all!
