Eve Defence Force - My Honour is My Life
Eve Defence Force is a Pirate Hunting corp with a military styled chain of command. However, this is not just achieved through PvP. We have a multi tiered divisional structure that covers a variety of careers within eve, all of which are dedicated to providing us with the military strength to fight Pirates. Maturity is a must (maturity of attitude rather than age) for all members.
Eve Defence Logistics: Responsible for mining, manufacturing and research. Combat isn't everyone's preference and it also doesn't come cheap. This is why as an EDF miner, builder or researcher you'll be able to get rich while helping supply our Legions with the necessary ships to hunt pirates with.
If you want to mine (or haul) the best ore there is and get paid for what you mine then this division is for you. An example of what you can earn is 156,497,565 ISK per week during a corp project (click here for our prices and the break down of how you can earn that much money).
If you wish to join this Division, please either e-mail us or Eve-mail Falgaroth to arrange a convo.
General Operations: responsible for organising EDF Agent Runners, allocation and training of personnel and Sales. Agent Runners: Responsible for the procurement of Impants and Tech 2 Blueprints.
With the introduction of level 4 agents, being a solo runner is no longer an option. By working within this division, you'll be able to call upon support to complete those missions with minimum risk. All we ask in return one in three implants gained.
If you choose to undertake an R&D Project, Eve Defence Force will fully fund all research in return for the Blueprint. Unlimited access will be granted to it though, should you gain one.
Eve Defence Sales: Responsible for trading and sales of blueprints, ships, ammo, modules, and weapons.
If you're a trader as part of our Merchant Fleet, Eve Defence Sales will fund your efforts allowing you to take a cut of the profits thus increasing the amount you make in a deal. Members of the Merchant Fleet are also responsible for delivery of items to our clients or our sales office.
Academy: Responsible for training personnel in their chosen field. If you're new to Eve and wish to develop your skills in a safe and friendly atmosphere, then Eve Defence Force's Academy is the place for you. When you join, you'll be given all the learning skills plus associated skills needed to start you off on your carer, a ship best suited for your profession as well as a helping hand from our instructors. Upon graduation, you'll be transferred to the Division of your choice.
If you wish to join this Division, please either e-mail us or Eve-mail Giskard B for general information, Joradino for Agent Running or Alastira for the Merchant Fleet or CynSage for the Academy and they will be happy to arrange a convo.
Corporate Fleet Division:
Our Corporate Fleet Division is split into two areas:
Legions: Responsible for hunting Pirates and other PvP activities. If PvP combat is your thing, then our Pirate Hunting Legions are for you. As part of this division, you are required to be able to successfully pilot anything from a Frigate upwards in PvP. You have no obligation to remain in that ship so if you have a Frigate and the skills to use it but wish to progress to an Interceptor, Cruiser, Battlecruser or BS then you choose the speciality and we'll fund your training. all you have to do is prove yourself an asset to us. We'll do the rest.
Covert Operations: Responsible for Intelligence gathering, Counter Intelligence and Black Ops
Extraordinarii
The Extraordinarii are our rapid response team. Members of this elite unit are rquired to pilot Covert Ops Ships, Interceptors, Assualt Frigates and Heavy Assualt Cruisers only. They are often the first sent in during combat or operate behined enemy ines to either spy, scout or harrass the enemies soft targets or pinpoint fleet locations.
If you wish to join this Division, please either e-mail us or Eve-mail Red Martian for general information, Rogal for the Legions or Ageis for Covert Ops and they will be happy to arrange a convo.
All members will be funded for skills, clones and items subject to length of service.
If you're unable to contact any of the above, please mail me and I'll be happy to talk.

Eve Defene Force wants to provide you with a friendly, fun atmosphere where everyone is able to relax and have a laugh. It's a game after all. In order to do this, we have a few simple rules:
- Be friendly. While you may not like someone for whatever reason, you're still expected to be polite.
- Have a sense of humour. We all have a laugh and we all like a lot of banter and we like to take the p**s. Eve's a game so don't take it too seriously.
- Communicate. When asked a question, answer it. If you go afk, say "afk". If you have a question or a problem, ask us. We can't help if you don't.
- Don't smack talk. Do and you'll be give a single warning only. Ignore it and we'll open fire on you.
- Finally, be tolerant. EDF is a multicultural guild. Intolerance will not be tolerated and will result in your expulsion. Our members come from various ethnic backgrounds and have various beliefs. They should not be made to feel uncomfortable about them. Banter's fine but we will know the difference.
If you can follow these rules you'll be welcome. If you can't, look elsewhere. In return for following these rules, we offer you fun via the following:
- For PvPers we offer daily combat across a variety of specialisms.
- For Miners we buy in the ore at above market prices, the ability to mine high end ore as well as the protection needed to mine it
- For Agent Runners we offer support on the tougher missions, fully funded research as well as a friendly atmosphere in which to play.
- For traders, a percentage cut of what you trade for the corp..
- For Noobs (and we've all been noobs at some point), we offer survival training regardless of your chosen field, fully funded skills programme, specialist training in your chosen field and mentoring upon graduation.
However, what we do not want are:
- Immature individuals. We couldn't care less about your age, it's a maturity of attitude we require.
- People with a selfish attitude. If you're only interest is in what Eve Defence Force can do for you, we're not interested. You can see what we offer here
- Eve trialists. We're not going to invest in you if you're on a two week trial and decide you don't like Eve.
- WoW trialists. Same as above. If you're on a trial for another game such as WoW, decide if you're staying in Eve before you join. We do stress that if you're sharing your gaming time between two games then that's fine. We just don't want you to join then leave Eve a week later.
So there you have it. All common sense stuff really. If you want to make a difference in Eve, are willing to follow our rules and meet our criteria, then drop us a line either at [email protected] or Eve-mail the dept. Head directly.

I've been in EDF for a little over 2 months, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
They are very devoted to their corp and its members, I recieved tons of help concerning PVP and other topics which I was very much in the dark.
All the guys are very friendly. I was surprised how welcome I was when I first joined, and how nice and helpful everyone was and continues to be to new members.
But they don't limit you or regulate what they want you to do. You can do whatever you want: mining, missions, PVP, R&D, etc. And if you need help with any of it, the Academy is there to answer your questions and even train you. I've been doing PVP on and off, and when I'm not PVPing I'm helping with the mining division or doing missions.
No matter what you wanna do, Eve Defense Force is great for any of it. The White-Trash Icon |

A+ Number One Group Guys Fly With! Extra Helpful! Recommend this corp!!one1 /ebay
Really though, this corp is full of the kind of people who you'd be happy to call your friends if everyone went to a bar/pub/(don't know what they call them in Australia). Plus John is, in soul, the spitting image of Casablanca's Rick, and that's never a bad thing! Nor are references to critically acclaimed movies sprinkled where they don't belong!
Here's (EDF) looking at you mate.

I have been in [EDF] for about a month now.
Before i joined i was just running around scrapping up isk from NPC hunting. However, when i joined that all changed, in my first week i was flying on Operations with EDF as a tackler pilot. Since then i have been on mining Ops, and have been able to learn so many new skills through the guys at EDF. With a trustworthy chain of command and lods of great people in the corp! EDF is definetly one of the best corps around.

Been a member of EDF for over a month, good group of guys
I'd recomend this corp to all, whether your new to the game or an experienced PVP player, you'll find a good home in EDF. Your allowed to do your own thing, contributing to the corp, not forced in any way, which keeps the game fun! as it's supposed to be

Itching to see 0.0 space? EDF can take you there!
Enjoy the odd PvP scrap? So do we!
Are you the laid back mining type? Hi-ho hi-ho it's off to work ...
Did you pull things to pieces when you were a kid? Come build real battleships, weapons and components with EDF!
What's that? You hate Sansha and those other belt pirates? Come on down! Our agents will lub you!
Seriously folks, EDF has a bit of everything and we do it darn well! We are especially looking for people in the South pacific region but heck, we don't care where you are from ... everyone fits in easily at EDF. There's stacks of support for anyone that needs/asks and we will look after you like no other corp. All we ask is a little bit of loyalty and dedication ... in return we will give all the assistance we can in helping you to further your career and reach your and our goals.
Sign up today ... you won't be sorry

Eve Defence Force started in October 2003 as a 2 man operation. We've steadly grown and where always traditionally Empire based but now the corp is split between Frontier Space (0.0) and Empire. There's been plenty of ups and downs but now we have over 150 active members accross all timezones. Some times are better represented than others. Our strongest represented are European and East Coast U.S./Canadian times but we really want more Central and Pacific times and most of all, South Pacific members.
We've just emerged from six months of almost continuous warfare and now we're getting back to our roots - Pirate Hunting. So we're sending teams on missions into Empire to take out the low sec living Pirates.
We have Agent Runers, Traders in Empire as well as Mining teams in both 0.0 and Empire. We have succesfully launched our own Academy that teaches survival training as well as specialised training and we're about to launch our first Starbase.
So these are exciting times for our corp.
We are very team based in our attitude and if you're not pulling your weight, you're warned before you're booted. We're mature but have ages that range from Teenagers to Middile Aged. We fight, mine, run missions, trade and rat hunt across a wide variety of areas and we're friendly.
So if you're interested in Mining or Hauling and getting paid for it, Trading with corp funding and keeping a percentage of the profits or prehaps Agent Running with the guarantee of support whenever you need it, or Rat Hunting Domination Spawns and hitting high ranking complexes, or if you're a PvPer or simply someone who wants to do all of this and more. If you are, Eve Defence Force is a corp for you.

The 'Kid' giving orders in PvP situations could have 2 years plus PvP expereince under his belt where as the 'Adult' could be wholly immature and do nothing but smack talk over local.
Maturity and Age, sadly do not go hand in hand.
I'll have someone convo you in game for a chat on what we can offer.

Eve Defence Academy re-opens this weekend. The programme covers basic survival training before moving onto combat tatics, group mining practices, Lab and Factory useage and much much more.
You'll be skilled through corp funding and will recieve a ship upon graduation.
Once you have graduated, it doesn't stop there. You will receive a Mentor who will continue to guide and advise you until you are comfortable with your role in Eve.
If you're interested then please mail one of the department heads (listed above) for more information or mail us at [email protected].

Q1. Noob upwards - all you need to do is be able to fit a mining laser Q2. Split between Empire space and Frontier (0.0) - depends on your skills where you want to mine.
We don't dictate to you whether you mine in 0.0 or in Empire, that's for you to decide. You can either team up with the Empire miners or if you feel you've enough skills, come on down to 0.0 and mine there.

Hi John , am interested in EDF and am really looking for a well organised corp but i need to know few thing so lets start with me first , am a miner and have the following mining skills : Mining lvl5 , Astro lvl4 and Ice harvest lvl3 so i can mine ice and i fly med barge . Am +3 GMT but i spend like 4-5h a day online in different times through the day and am self sufficiant .
I want to know the following :
- Do the corp provide a protector(s) in spaces below .9 and hauler for the miner so the miner can concentrate on only mining ??
- As a successfull corp i expect that u have alot of enemies so u often in war so how EDF handls war ?? U know , miners , haulers , producer ..etc may not have enough combat skills to survive through large/long scale war so do u protect them and how ??
I hate when in war to keep an eye on local to make sure no enemy player jump in the same system and pod/kill me .
Other than that i have no problems . This is my alt so don't convo this charater .
Regards ,

Yes. We conduct mining operations in empire and 0.0. You can concentrate on your mining whilst others provide cover and hauling.
Quote: - As a successfull corp i expect that u have alot of enemies so u often in war so how EDF handls war ?? U know , miners , haulers , producer ..etc may not have enough combat skills to survive through large/long scale war so do u protect them and how ??
I can say that our mining operations are pretty much unaffected by war. It would not be prudent for me to go into any more detail than that in an open forum though.
Quote: I hate when in war to keep an eye on local to make sure no enemy player jump in the same system and pod/kill me .
Yes ... so do we. That's why we take steps to minimise the risk of that ever happening.
Convo me (Steelmattthius), Ageis or John in game if you have any more questions or would like to join us.

One of my Miners has brought to my attention that the figures I use in the example for mining payouts are wrong. Well that's what you get for having a PvPer try discuss mining
Anyway, I apologise but with the release of our new site nearing, I'm not updating it. Just be aware of it. Suffice to say, you will get paid for the ore at the amounts quoted. It's only the example figure that's wrong.

G'day! Greetings from the Great Land Downunder! Yes, the Moon is upsidedown in Oz!
Query - Does the EDF post all its kills on EVE-Kills?
I tend to believe that the stats don't tell the whole story. However, EDF's stats on EVE-Kills are not at all good (which is entirely unexpected). Is this b/c EDF doesn't post most of its kills?
Considering that EDF losses are being posted on EVE-Kills by your opponents I wonder whether you should make a point of posting all your kills so the figures do not appear skewed?
The stats show the EDF suffering terrible losses to minimal kills. As a noob player looking for a good corp to join, I'm definitely influenced by the stats (although I would never make a decision based solely on the stats). This is only a query and is definitely not criticism or intended in any way to inflame anyone.

Yes, you are right. We've never posted to eve-kills much in the past and our guys have just been asked to start posting every kill. If you have a look at the personal stats of guys like TheKiller8 and Gazzaa29 you will see a more realistic trend :)

Eve Defence Force is now looking for Traders. Trading is an area of Eve that is still new to our corp so if you think you have what it takes to develop this side of our corp whilst getting rich in the process, then you may end up heading up the entire dept. in the future.
All applicants must have trading expereince and a clear idea on how to make it a viable profession. In return, the corp will fully fund and back your efforts towards this goal.
Up for the challenge? Then contact either Arrik, Steelmatthias or myself via EveMail or alternatively, e-mail us at [email protected].

Not as rule but exceptions are made on a case for case basis. Contact one of the dept. heads for a chat and we'll see what you have to offer. We firmly believe that all members, no matter how inexperienced, have the capability to bring something new to the table. Convo us and let's see what you have to offer .

I feel I need to make this clear after a said set of events today.
Eve Defence Froce is not at your beck and call. Those of us on the contact list do not sit there waiting for you to convo us. We, like you, play the game.
We do our best to contact everyone, who mails us regarding recruitment, back within 48 hours. This doesn't always happen due to real life or ingame circumstances but we do try our best.
Thretening us with looking for another corp if we don't respond in your time will only result in you being told to p1ss off.
If you have this kind of attitude (like a prospective member did today) you need not apply.

I might be interested in joining, you sound like a very organised and go getting corp. I just have a couple of questions:
You mentioned that you had just got out of a long running war situation. Does this mean that you have taken sides in some alliance v alliance combat? And if so, which side and against who?
What are your policies on other alliances? Do you try to stay independent or have you joined sides upon occassion?

Edited by: Nidhoggr on 01/06/2005 17:10:52 I have just recently joined [EDF], and from what I have experienced so far is nothing else than positive feedback.
- They are organized
- They approach every aspect of the game, giving the player ability to choose for themselves
- They are BIG (some say size dont matter)

- They are international, so there are always someone you can chat with, regardless of timezone.
- They treat every player with respect, so you wont get any haggle if you have hair growing out of your ear... or something like that

- and last but not least, they give you fun fun fun, and an addiction to EVE
...so send inn an application today. ...do as the rest of us, and get more out of your game.

We joined the Free Space Alliance around Christmas '04 and had two wars there. Then we left and joined Xetic and y'all know what happend with Xetic.
We're part of ASCN so the only Alliance vs. Alliance combat and politics I get involved in are ASCN's. As an example, we would not get involved in the Foundation Vs. -V- war.

Another interested person here.
I'm from the same corp as Kurron. I've been playing for a year now.
I'm primarily a miner. I fly the large mining barge with nine medium drones as fire power. I'm weird, I actually learned combat through mining than doing missions. Weirder still, I LIKE mining. ::gasp:: I'm amenable to learning Ice Harvesting. I never bothered before since I'm stuck mining Scordite in .5 space.
Secondary are my trade skills (which I have most of). I'm also a decent hauler (kinda needed to be).
Obviously Logistics would be my thing. Shall I email your Logistics people or talk to you in game? :) ----- ~Hazelyn www.mangaverse.org www.scififan.org www.ruthiechan.net |

I'm a bit of a vet, been playing for about a year now, have 13M skill points. I tried forming a corp with some friends, but most of them seem to have drifted away from EVE, so it's back to looking for someone out in 0.0 who wants to hire me.
Most of my skills are in combat. I can fly all tech one ships (other than industrials, where I only fly the Iteron V, and I only fly a med barge), I can also fly Caldari and Amarr interceptors and assault ships, and am working on training up for Minmatar and Gallente.
I'd probably join the agent running/logistics groups for a while, as the big thing that's holding me back is lack of ISK - my assault ship addiction gets pricy.
Should I convo or just drop you guys an evemail?
Please Evemail Steelmatthias who will arrange for someone to convo you.

Hello, I'm thinking about joining a new corp and EDF seems to be the most interesting I've found so far. I have 17.6 mill sp, have a lv3 research agent, and can use a number of different ships (eg interceptors, large barge, covert ops, assault frig, and others). I spend most of my time running agent missions at the moment, but I'd prefer to fill a mining role within a corp. However I can only spend on average 2 evenings per week on eve at the moment, and would like to know if this would be a problem. I would also like to know if I'd have time to do my own thing from time to time, or whether I would be required to spend most of my time on corp activities.
Thanks for reading. Pelan

Reply sent.
Also, I could of sworn I'd said this before but can't seem to find it. The Academy is Closed. Has been for a while now, until all entrents are trained up. We are not, as a general rule, recruiting new characters though will make exceptions on a case by case basis. If you truly are interested in our corp, make a case for yourself as to why you should be recruited. Tell us what you're prepared to do and what direction you'd like to take. Do not say "I'm a noob and I want to join the Academy" as 99% of you do.
We are looking for Expereinced Miners and Haulers capable of living in 0.0. You will be based in the same system as our POS and won't have to travel far to haul/refine. Mining Ice is a distinct benefit but not essential.
We want Level 4 agent runners, expereinced traders and most of all, expereinced PvPers who are willng to use their own initiative and sit around awaiting for corp ops because currently we are not on any campaign. Our guys are just doing low key stuff.
You know what we offer, it's all in the original thread.

What we've been doing is a trade in scheme. You give the corp your barge in Empire, fly down in a shuttle (or clone jump) and we give you a new Barge on your arrival. Since we don't have the BPo and order it from our Alliance friends, just give us a couple days notice, please.

I am still interested in joining EDF as well, as can probably be seen as this is my third reply to this thread! I like to take part in many different activities in game, as my skills are going the well rounded route so far (~1.2m SP), so I have no problem mining, trading, agent running or PVPing (though I haven't PVP'd in EVE yet!). Let me know if you will now take a 2.5 month old player!

A rounded player should even out around/atleast 1 million skill point's per month of trainning regardless, Learning and Adv learning skills are your friend's and will work for you in the long run

There are so many corp events and everyone is there to answer questions or just offer a helping hand. Plus the whole corp is SO friendly. They made the game what it is to me and I really enjoy being part of such a great corp.

There's a slight change to the way we handle Corp Mining ops. No longer will you get a cut of the ore value, rather to simplify things, you are paid by the hour.
In one small Op alone, I paid out over 74 million isk and one member got 18.5 mill for a single nights work. That's comparable to Level 4 Agent running or an evening of high end ratting.
If you're interested in becoming rich, then please e-mail us and a recruiter will be in touch.

John posted in my thread here. I read you require biweekly corp mining ops can you tell me how many hours a week that is? If someone doesnt have a huge amount of time to spend ingame would EDF still be interested? I'm checking out a couple of corps that posted in my thread and I'm pretty impressed with EDF from what I've read. My only problem is my playing time is 8-10 hours a week only as I have a wife, kid and fulltime job. I enjoy mining and working with people and don't mind corp ops but also need to have an income. Does the corp sell reduced priced ships to its members? After the horror stories I heard about being a noob mining slave I'm nervous when I read mandatory mining ops. Thanks, Theo.

Dont think you have anything to worry about. We are all normal people with normal lifes (almost ). If you cant join one day cause of family and work that wont be a problem. Myself has been out of the game for almost a month before I could get back ingame again because of moving. And then when I finally got online I had to go to work... But we have a great atmosphere in our group and we would be happy to hear from you

Dont worry, nobody is forced to do something he doesnt like. If you dont like mining, join the pvp gangs and learn everything about fighting. Or, if you dont like pvp or mining, join the trade division. There is always something you can do! Of course, if you sign up as empire miner i would appreciate you showing up at the corp mining ops whenever you can. However, if you cannot make it that isnt a problem. There are always other ways and times you can help out the corp instead:) And remember, corp mining is more fun than solo mining! Plus you will get paid per hour
Hope to see you!

Some points you need to understant:
- Time online is of secondary importance to the effort you put in when you are onlne.
- No one is a slave. You can specialise in a particular area or you can do a multitude of different things. Our corp covers every aspect of Eve.
- There is no such thing as a manditory mining op. You don't want to mine, do something else that will benefit the corp.
The reason we have multiple Divisions is because we want to offer you the best gaming expereince you can find in Eve whilst building up a strong and healthy corporation. An awful lot of this corp, probably close to half, are married and a lot also have kids. You will be supported and you will be guided.

Thanks hun, but I'd like to point out that experienced guys also can't go wrong . We have a lot of experience and are in no way, shape or form, a noob corp.
What we really want are people capable of living and operating in 0.0 (Miners, PvPers, PvErs) and Level 4 Agent runners.
Lots to offer you, just browse through this thread for details

At Eve Defence Force we like to create balance across all timezones. With this in mind, we're starting to have too many Europeans so until further notice, you will only be considered if you're very experienced in a particular area.
What we're looking for are more North American members, specifically Central and Pacific times and more South East Asain based players. The entry level for you guys will be lower than your European counterparts so have a good read through this thread and you'll see what we offer.
The exception to this is anyone who's already mailed us or posted on our forums. If you have, you will be treated equally
So just a quick recap on minimum requirements:
- Miners:Must be able to operate in 0.0 space
- PvPers got to be able to fly an interceptor upwards

Not sure if I meet your requirements atm, but outside of physically getting there just how much different is mining in 0.0 vs. empire? Do you offer training? You target a rock, start the strip miners, jetcan for the hauler and pray yer cover kills the rats, NPC or otherwise, before they kill you...
North American, EST average 4-6 hours a night + weekends. ( less on wed & thursday and I get real distracted on fridays )
I'd also like to branch out into production at some point, I like to build my own ships ( retrievers, 3-4 frigs, 2 BC's and my mission runners armageddon. Working on ferox, mega atm ) and would eventually like to dabble into T2.
I run 2 accounts, one for running missions ( though I am only l2 atm so don't qualify there ) and this one for mining, research, production ( i.e. all the goodies the mission running account don't have time to train ). I assume you'd want screenies of both for *security* purposes.
I'm interested but I'd ask to borrow or buy a retriever + strip miners / ice miners as needed since they're about as fast as a petrified snail and I am not flying mine from empire to 0.0 at that speed :-p
I'd also like advice on skills, i.e. what will make me the most useful the quickest while still meeting my overall goals ( mining, research & production )
Let me know if I should contact someone in game.
If not, grats on the free bump :-)

Hello I am a noob character (less than a month old) but i come from playing SWG for the past 2 years where I was 2nd in Command of our servers largest guild. I am very interested in you Corp. Currently I am training mainly the Learning skills. I have 2 of the Advanced skills already (editic mem to 4). I plan to continue on this path till most of my learning skills are at this level. I was informed this was the route to go since I plan on being here for a long time. I understand that your corp is currently not looking for characters at my level. Which is fine and understandable. Therefore I am just here to introduce myself and my interest in your Corp. I am also in Canada, Eastern Timezone. Character name: Heiki
I will submit a formal application to your website within a day or two.

Your in-game corp description shows that Eve Defence Force is not a member of any alliances, yet you also state that your corp is an "ASCN Citizen Corp". What exactly does this mean? Why is your corp not in the ASCN & what exactly IS an ASCN Citizen corp"?

1) Yes. Miners are under no obligation to PvP. PvPers are under no obligation to mine. We do not say you can't if you wish to though.

Fun group to be and fly with, you dont have to be a pvper they have a mining wing too so if you like to do both and want access to 0.0 this is the corp you need to apply too. I can garantuee you, you wont regret it, if i wasnt in a great corp already i would be defently flying under the EDF flag so come on in and enjoy

PvPers. I understand that to you, having a kill board is important. Well I'm working on one but here's an example of what you can be part of.
Last night one of EDF's Legions went behined enemy space and killed the following for a loss of a single Taranis:
- 1 x Kestrel
- 1 x Taranis
- 1 x Zealot
- 1 x Megathron
- 1 x Shuttle
- 1 x Wolf
- 1 x Buzzard
- 2 x POD
This wasn't a fleet operation, this was simply a raid. A bunch of guys flying around behined enemy lines looking for targets.
If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt in small ships, then Eve Defence Force can offer you a home.
Miners, my mining Directors tell me that you need to be challenged as well as getting rich. This is why we've structured things more.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine Ice.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine ore.
- 2 Days a week you'll mine whatever the hell you like and we'll buy it from you.
- Final day is yours to do with what you will. If you want to mine, we'll buy the ore from you.
You will also be given projects to work towards and be paid bonuses for going above and beyond what is asked of you. This means you're helping your corp grow, having fun, having a purpose and getting damn rich at the same time.
Agent runners, we're basing you out of a small cluster of systems based upon the Empire/Corp you do missions for. This will allow you to group together and help each other in group missions.
All this brings an unprecidented level of organisation within our corp and thus increases the amount of fun to be had.
So if you're interested in being part of this, drop us an e-mail and one of our Recruiters will be in touch.

Hah, you can laugh all you want to try impressing people and get them to join Yah. Why do I say that? Because one of the members I spoke abt a weeeek ago, gave me the following paste from your Forum Blog, just to explain his point of view..
Quote:

John
Well it's that time again so here goes:
Financial
Banked ISK currently stands at 500,000,000 Operational ISK (i.e. what's in the wallet) stands at 78,000,000
Telling us you don't remember ever posting that? Well, not unless the EDF member I spoke to is lying, which I doubt, because he sounded rather friendly to meee.
And about the latest Moon's post. If the info I got above is correct (which I'm sure is), either Moon was lying or they bought the ore from him just so that Moon could post in here showing off the corp.
I dunno, I actually have nothing against you fellows..... but seeing such obvious lies just to recruit ppl, I can't stand. And then the CEO just comes here callin' dis nonsense and all he does is laughs. Hahah. |

Your opinion mate, but it's based on hearsay and posted by an alt. Which lends your opinion as much gravitas as an essex girl preaching abstinance. Please cut the hip "patois" posting style. It make my eyes bleed.
I flew with these guys in what I suspect was a dark and stressful time in their history. They weren't broke then and that was after 3 odd weeks of war with hardcore pvp players.I would be gobsmacked if they have any financial issues now.
Besides that, John is one kick arse fleet commander.

I was reading the above post's by "Cauchy" and I felt moved to reply. Cauchy, you sound more like a disgruntled corp member then a disinterested outsider. If you are a member and you dont like the corp then just quit.
Im a returning to eve player. I took a long break to do other things. Once I got reestablished i began looking for a corp to hang with. I wanted one that was large, active, had plans, had motivation. I took about a month just reading threads. And i kept coming back to the EDF thread. I liked what i read, liked the positiveness of it.
So i joined and so far its been real good. The corp is active, they have goals, the members work together. U cant ask for much more then that considering all things.

Edited by: Osher on 07/08/2005 02:12:14 Ive been with EDF now for about a week and so far I am very pleased. They are a good group of people with clear goals and strong leadership. No matter what your niche is they have a place for you be it Pvper, Pver, Miner, Trader, Researcher, Builder, Explorer (bm maker).
Another thing I like so far is still seeing double digit corp members online even in the wee hours of the night when the server pop dips down below 3-4k. I would highly recommend them to any honorable player new or old.

Heya,
Me and a fellow BF2 clanmate have been looking around for a good mature corporation to join, and fell upon your recruitment post. I am leaning towards more of a battleship/dreadnaught role in battle, and he leans more towards mining, however he still does fight. I will also be moving to Pacific time come late September, so I can fill in some of the power gap that you might have.

Yes we are.
Announcement:
Guys, I'm proud to announce the launch of our new website. It contains all updated information about our corp. It's as complete as it's going to get atm but will grow with the inclusion of a Killboard and a definative history of our corp and the three founding members which will be written in character. Both of these I'm working on now.
So for those of you who don't know, the link is www.eve-defence.com.

Hi John, Tried to catch Davlin online since the time you told me about her, but didn't get a chance. I'm very interested in joining EDF, to give me some direction and perpose in EVE than what i'm currently enjoying. Right now I'm docked at Ellmay (6 jumps from Yulai). I prefer to play EVE during 0700-9000 eve time. I will drop an application as soon as I find one of EDF's offices. Hope to hear from you soon.

John,
I am looking for a new corp and EDF sounds interesting. I am a long time Eve player with approximately 12MM SP with training emphasis on production and ship/weapons skills. I am a level 5 (PE) builder with some T2 build skills (assault frigates). I am trained in Amarr and Caldari ships. I have covert ops and assault frigate on Amarr.
I enjoy an all around corp rather than a corp that is exclusively PVP or pure production etc.
Was in A99 for a long time (Phoenix Alliance)and was invited into Supremacy when they were in the outer ring. Eyesight (I am "mature" as they say) and time made it difficult to support the regular 10-12 hour fleet actions so I resigned from Supremacy rather than being a drag on my corp m8ts. Have been doing missions for a couple months which I enjoy but they get a bit old a steady diet.

After a short, two week Eve break, I'm back and I'm back with a clear and concise rule.
If you mail me about recruitment, I will delete your mail.
This may sound harsh or arrogant until you consider the fact that I spent the month prior to my break sat in a f'ing station not playing Eve and just came back to close to 100 mails, all because people refused to follow my wishes.
If you want to be part of our corp, you have to get off on the right foot. Use our Recruitment Forum and you will do that. If that's not good enough for you, don't even bother applying.
Sorry but I subscribe to Eve to blow stuff up, not an Administration Sim!

Indeed you can turn in other ships than Barges in one of our empire Offices, for an exchange in either ISK or a new ship built in our Frontier HQ.. ofcause it doesn't take moduls into account..

This thread is quite old, at least the recruitment information and what you guys are looking for.
Im a returning player (played about 2 months in total so far) from norway, interested in shooting down rats and running security agent missions.
Am i even mildly interesting for your corp ? :)
Im posting here to get a rough guideline, instead of writing a more serious application post on your forum or in a mail, only to get rejected

You should post in our recruitment forum. Then a recruiter will get with you and he will ask some questions, as well as you'll be able to ask what ever your wondering about!
