I expierienced that the ship does not jump through the gates on autopilot on some occations. The AP is still active but jumping does not happen. It reaches the gate and hangs then around in space.

NPC frigs are still instapoping drones you cant recall em fast enough i left station with 12 came back with 5 yet i have drone durability 5 and all my other drone skills to 5
when flying a battleship you need those drones to survive long enough to get the frigs off of you when you are scrammed losing all your drones to aggro is not a option
come on CCP i know you want to make it difficult for botters and what not but this is ridiculous
the isk loss on drones between repair and replace is sometimes over half what the mission is worth in the first place
at the very least you could show percentage of drone damage when they are in the bay too so you can decide which ones still have enough life left to send back out into the fray
launching and recalling drones 15 times a mission to kill 7 frigs and still losing 7 drones is not fun its just annoying
lower the drone damage or give us the ability to rig em so they can tank better

I've made some investigation and the "camera tracking toggle works only one time" bug is connected to the shortcut " Combat / Lock Target ". When the key is not CTRL, the camera doesn't work as it should.
Is not much annoying because i usually use the target toggle key, but notice that to find the problem I've resetted my settings and this is the really annoying part of the thing.
I hope you'll fix it soon, thanks |

Scroll to the very bottom and delete the two files that start with "win_launcherinfo*.txt" and then start the launcher again. This is a known fix for this issue.

NPC behavior based upon AI changes is not consistent as far as I can tell. I mean, the NPCs switch targets randomly without any regard to who is doing what or when. It does not matter what DPS I deliver, what EWAR I deploy, whatever I do ...
There is simply no consistent behavior that can be used as a basis for an aggro management strategy. The only aggro management at this time is to kill stuff before your tank breaks. And that is not really aggro management.
I really think CCP missed the point of PvE when they stated they wanted to make it less predictable. PvE is all about precision execution, which comes from rehearsing the same scenario until you've optimized all aspects for success. At that point is gets called "farming status". Adding unpredictability throws a monkey wrench into all that. Having complex behavior is cool. Having completely unpredictable behavior is not fun at all.
If I want unpredictability, I'll do PvP. PvE is kind of like playing the same song on your instrument many times. It's still fun, even though you have done it many times and you have memorized it from beginning to end. |

Happy New Year!
Can we please have a fix for the broken "double click on probe to center view on probe"?
It was a pain before Retribution already, you had to hover the mouse over a probe's label, wait until the label vanished, move mouse away, wait until label show up again, double click. But then it was at least fixed for a while and you could double click the label right away, it didn't vanish anymore for that set of probes.
Now you have to go through that whole process and than hope you can double click it... sometimes, i think when you close the system map with probes out you cannot double click them at all anymore and need to call the probes and launch new once.
Please get this fixed finally. Or at least make it just as broken as it was before the Retribution expansion.
Once you are done with this then please work on an options menu to turn of the annoying aggression sound that clutters my senses every time a smartbomb cycles or a activate a remote rep or energy transfer or disable a transfer on someone or for a million other reasons i don't care about. Imagine, some of your players live in w-space, we don't give anything about aggression timers, we just don't care but getting spammed with this noise all the time. Please get it sorted finally. It is massively ruining the fun atm. '(beeezzzzzbringblilililililbeeeezzzbringbilililiibrezzzzzzecreeeabrrrreee, thats how my client sounds once i start doing anything, pve or pvp atm, this is so f...ing horrible)
Just as horrible as the new locked targets nightmare. Try using a tool to write stuff that doesn't show the text as line but as semi-circles. You will soon realize that semi-circles are not so very much readable as they might look cool.
There is a new year now, so get going and get some of the stuff fixed you seriously broke or made worse. A lot of your long term subscribers are suffering there.
Thank you. |

Man, have you red your post again and thought about it? NPC randomly switch targets, all the time. They kill your drones, all the time. etc.... What is not predictable about that please? Galmas: Read the part where I state that there is no consistent NPC behavior, nor is there any way to consistently control aggro.
What is not predictable is controlling which players are targeted by the NPCs, as in tanks tank and healers heal.
Specifically, I have been using a CNR and a HM Tengu after my drone boats have proven to be useless after the patch. At any given time, I cannot predict that my CNR will hold aggro. Sometimes I can leave the drones out for long periods and they will not take aggro. Other times, they get hammered hard and must be pulled in or sacrificed. The unpredictability is in aggro management, in that, there is none. I can do all the things that are supposed to generate high threat (EWAR, high DPS, etc) and it does not matter. The NPCs behavior is seemingly random.
If someone has a formula for consistently predicting NPC behavior, I'd sure like to read it. But as far as I can tell, PvE scenarios are now highly improvisational, and the "farming status" that is the hallmark of repeatable PvE scenarios for ISK gathering are a thing of the past. I'm sure some players are happy with this. I am not. |

OH GOD PLEASE PLEASE .. I'm a plexer, I would hate to think how the W-Space folk are coping with the current horrible focus problems with probes. Trying to pan/shift the camera without setting focus is nasty.
I can live with the new target icons though they seem like a waste of screen real estate, I prefer the old ones like you do, they were simple and clean and effective. They've now been prettied up but I don't see any benefit.
I'm with you on the 'Bzzzzt' aggression noise. It took me a while to work out WTF it was, because nearly anything triggers it. I'm not actually sure what it is half the time now even. I'd like an off switch for that sound effect.
Finally, one more you didn't mention, the new scrolly damage notifications. In the past I could turn off all damage notifications. Now I'm stuck having a scrolly window listing everything, which I find quite distracting. I can move it - off the screen, which I do. So why not let me just turn the sucker off?
Finally: Obligatory complaint about general NPC AI being annoying. Lots of cool new stuff came in retribution but some of the stuff that got 'fixed' wasn't frickin broken in the first place.

Previously I've said that the corp hanger loading was still long but acceptable.
Now I'm finding it is taking too long. Now I don't know if the load time is longer or if now that I've forgotten how long it used to take I have lost the comparison. - In any case I'm frustrated getting into corp hangers and no knowing if it's loading or just looking at me.
For industrialists this is pretty annoying because... guess what we are doing ALL THE TIME! Sure enough it's on the first load and after that I can work with it but please take another look at it. At the very least give me a spinning icon to tell me it's working until you can make a load time under 3 seconds.
Can you please look at improving the load times for corp hangers. It's in the order of 10 seconds.
In the olden days before the unified inventory it was not very long at all - what on earth broke it so badly? |

I'm having the same experience -- module timers suddenly continuing for 1/3 of an extra cycle or more before deactivating properly when before they synced nearly instantly. I've seen this phenomenon before when I was on a high-latency connection but this time nothing's changed on my end. It makes ratting horribly irrating. |

To be precise, I see the glow at the barrel of the blasters and the graphic of the bolt hitting the target is there, but the no bolt going from turret to target. I recently installed a new videocard because i fried my old one.. not sure if the problem lies there.. everything else works fine.. small blasters animation works like it should too.. but the medium ones have no firing animation.

For now, I am handing over control of all corp operations to its directors until such time that a patch or some other development addresses certain connectivity issues.
Hopefully I will be seeing you again soon, if not, I wish you all the best in your gaming endeavors.

I, too, completely lost the ability to log in - but on a Windows machine:
The launcher is stable, but after you click PLAY, it's a downward spiral from there.
I spent all day today rooting through my machine, trying to figure out event errors, etc, filed am extensive bug report... wasted hours back-tracking by restoring my system to a backed up state about 6 days ago... Same old problems. Inexorably leading to the blue screen of death crash.
I've filed a bug report (#151686)
Recreation is basic: Open EVE Launcher. Click "PLAY". The Login screen appears. Wait for about 2-7 seconds. The screen flashes white, then black, then attempts to "restart and recreate" the screen, but if it is not successful, it will crash as a BLUE screen crash.
Sadly this means any attempt at saving a logserver file or a screen capture simply are not available, as those files are lost when my system reboots from a fatal crash.
I found one in particular that included detailed error information on an "Application Hang":
The program ExeFile.exe version 2012.12.45.7575 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. Process ID: 1068 Start Time: 01cdf356f0ae0a05 Termination Time: 25 Application Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\ExeFile.exe Report Id: 73b2ef51-5f4a-11e2-8e61-0021856397ee
After more testing tonight (10 hours later), Eve simply is not playable, and nothing has been changed with my software or hardware setup since my last successful log in several days ago.

setting Tracking Camera: Selected Item to OFF does not persist between logons.
Perhaps this setting is tied to the Directional Scan setting? If so they really should be independent as DS setting is not really a camera setting
I won't be particularly surprised to hear this behavior is by design and the end user is not supposed to have choice.
I know Fozzie has STRONG views about turning EVE into a FPS dogfighter style MMO and that CCP thinks doing so will yield marketing gold. However, unless you are wanting a good number of strategic and wideview tactical folk to quit NOW rather than after CCP has time to reinvented EVE as the ideal FPS space dogfighter game...

Don't know if this issue has been posted already. This thread is too long to check.
UI bug seems to show itself at different times. Happens when undocking from station, or when exiting PI mode.
It doesn't happen all the time, seems random but the bug makes 1/3rd of the UI circle (shield, armor, structure) all red.
