I chose Ambitious Turkey because it made me laugh. I was about 12 when I created this character.
But I missed the 'b'.
However, my name is completely unique, and I've flown with it too long to desire a change now :)
Whenever I get shot at in November, the Thanksgiving punchlines roll. Every other month, it's just a turkey shoot.
I like to lick things.

Taken from a book in a series. The character, Baralosus, was a tyrant emperor of a country that believed in slavery, oppressive rule, torture, and among other things. I figured the name would fit for a character in Eve that was all about fighting and combat. |

5 self given requirement:
1.) My characters should have "natural sounding" names, names that could very likely also exist in real live.
2.) It should sound somehow "tough".
3.) The name should not trigger any negative associations.
4.) The name should be "unique".
5.) I must feel comfortable with that name being called for example on Teamspeak.
Therefore i got through some names for men, and created a surname slightly similar to a surname from an acquaintance of mine.
After i found a combination, which seemed to be suitable, i "googled" it for any hits, which could interfere with requirement 3 and 4. Since i found nothing with great importance for me, i found my characters name.

My name is in honor of my dead cat, the cat died after my room mate Dave tripped up after spilling his Malibu and Coke and landed on the cat, the cat dropped one out of fright and Dave ended up with a brown stain on his white pants, those white pants were the same ones he wears when he's playing in his BeeGee's tribute band. Dave and the cat got into it and Dave won unfortunately.

Kinsella is a 2005 Second Life surname (last name), back when those were forced on you. Used on my testing char there.
Alain is a variant of the Second Life first name for my 'known' persona (Alan).
The two combined is very similar to my SL name, which I've had for so long that I have answered to it at times (back when I was networking in various events around NYC). It has the added benefit of sounding realistic, so interacting occasionally in RP circles is easier. |
