Years ago friends would barb me as being a bit of a gyp when we played cards/consoles (originally the word meant a bit of a cheat but in this case was meant to indicate luckiness).
'You are so gyppy' would often be quoted, and it stuck as a nickname, with the 'j' coming from my first initial.

Large Collidable Object is the name of a Molvanian warlord during the turkish invasions into Molvania during the early 15th century.
Interestingly, he is the first in a long line of Molvanian warlord that didn't really live, but consisted of body parts and sheep bladders filled with fermenting faeces sewn together, strapped onto a fearsome war- mule and sent into battle ahead of the molvanian army.
The sludge gas evaporating from it made him flail his arms, which, in combination with the pungent stench scared the Turks off before a single shot was fired.
Other sources claim tales about vampirism are derived from the fact that these famous Molvanian warlords couldn't be killed, so people believed they were undead.
I picked the name in anticipation of WoD.

Also, I made this name up a few years before starting eve, liked the way it sounded and have used it in several games. It's usually available.

I'll bite:
I played Everquest for a decade and back in the beginning when lore was actually a big deal I read about a Tier'Dal General who was the leader of the Dark Elves back when the War between Innoruuk and Lanys consumed Kithicor and made it a haunted area.
I was a geek, I am a geek, I still miss that game and I have been known in-game on every game as Nizran since. If Dark Elves could fly spaceships I would gladly put pointy ears on and **** and pillage the galaxy.  |

Back in the dark ages of multi-player gaming, I played a little BBS game called TradeWars 2002. A lot. Was totally obsessed. Seriously lost several years of life to TradeWars... can't tell you how often Eve reminds me of TradeWars, actually.
Anyway, my main character name back then was Reisa, a very helpful but protective character... as a joke in response to a funny chat one late night with several real-life friends in TW2002, I created an alt character called GoingGrey - the root of the joke was about my hair turning grey while I was still so young and sexy  (I started greying when I was only 17, this incident occured in my mid 20s).
As alts sometimes do... GoingGrey developed a personality of her own, and kind of became my main in some TW2002 universes. She was so heartless and cruel in the TradeWars universe...
Anyways... GoingGrey quickly got shortened to GG in chat and over time, oddly enough, GG became my real-life nickname. As the years went on, I broke my TradeWars addiction and my hair stopped going grey and became mostly full grey ... and as happens whenever you claim a name you like, other people start using the same name... finding "GoingGrey" characters in other games which wasn't me really irritated me...
But I really liked my nickname of GG. So in keeping with my head full of now-mostly grey hair and the nick of GG... I changed GoingGrey to GreyGal. When I started Eve, the name came with me.
How Greygal's grown to be so friendly and nice coming from the evil roots of GoingGrey is beyond me...

Baltec is most commenly seen as The WorldGÇÖs Leading Riveting Machine Manufacturer!
However, the real reason for my name is because I closed my eyes and pointed to a point on a map of the world. The point happened to be in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Not to be confused with the Baltic art gallary located in Newcastle where CCP owns an office. I swapped the i for an e to make my name a little more unique and boom. Unfortunatly I forgot my first trials details so I had to add on the one at the end.

I just thought of Sable as a name. As for the surname, I called my GF up and said "give me a surname that sounds scifyish and goes well with Sable" and she instantly thought of Blitzmann. I loved it and stuck with this character. ^_^ |
