I have a great many female friends. I also have a head of very fine, soft hair. Said friends LOVE to play with my hair because "it's the closest we'll ever get to playing with a fuzzy bunny!" (we all live in apartments). A few years ago, I got tired of being called "Fuzzy" so I grew my head hair out. Now it is a beautiful "mane of silky fluffiness" (their words, not mine) so I am currently known as "Fluffy."
"Fluffers" is just a branch out from that.

The prefix to my name came about from the serious thought process of "ooooo... it sounds cooler that way." I speak a bit of Persian/Farsi (thanks Dad) and "King" translates to "Shah."

So I am thus, the King of Fluffiness!!

In the end I just wanted a name which is different from the 100k other names in the game.

I'm not sure how this happened. I needed to create a dev char, there was some time pressure so I just wrote *something*. And then that stuck. No real reason behind it.

Unless it's because of this.

I needed to log into TQ one day fairly quickly after having been hired. Had no clue what I was going to name myself and did not really care as I was having fun with the portrait creator and thought the name would probably surface before I finished.

But it didn't, and when I was done I ended up with this. Yup, that's how I looked for the first few months here until I switched my face to this old mug. At any rate the prettier picture there, once completed, reminded me of a comic book character from Dv8 (Wildstorm) called Sublime. But Sublime was already taken, and at that point we didn't all prefix our names with CCP so that was the end of that.

Prism was also taken, first by some trial character that had never logged in and now by a solar system in the Black Rise region. So I slapped an X at the end of my name to be more like this guy. That guy is pretty random but always a solid guy to have around. And here we are!

Astute observers might have noticed a glaring gap in the story between paragraph two and three.
That's because the third one is a blatant lie.
The true story is not very "official CCP Forums" friendly.

Before EVE I played a WorldWar II flight simulator called IL2 with a group of people that formed a squadron called "Vultures Row". Back then I choose the name High5 as I liked the sound of it and it reminded me of Spitfires over the English Channel somehow.

I rolled in a star lance called the "Iron Wolves" back in the mech warrior 2 days they divided thier lance into the bears, wolves and foxs by mech weight, one of my favorite mechs was the nova as it accomidated my laser saw setup all too well, I got to be known as one heck of an ankle biting pilot clipping feet and legs off other mechs.

I am named after a character in a Fantasy book series called the Dragon Keeper Chronicles by Donita K Paul.

5 self given requirement:

1.) My characters should have "natural sounding" names, names that could very likely also exist in real live.
2.) It should sound somehow "tough".
3.) The name should not trigger any negative associations.
4.) The name should be "unique".
5.) I must feel comfortable with that name being called for example on Teamspeak.

Therefore i got through some names for men, and created a surname slightly similar to a surname from an acquaintance of mine.

After i found a suitable combination, i "googled" it for any hits, which could interfere with requirement 3 and 4. Since i found nothing with great importance to me, i found my characters name.

"Zoten" is a name i've been using in games, both on forum based roleplays and various games since I could participate in them.
"Dragosia" is a variation of the last name I assigned to the character which is typically "Dragonis."

I have another character on here "Ryan Ondore" his name comes from the main character of a novel I'm writing.

Cipher means many things, including zero, and the act of encryption. The weed circle, and the MC circle in hip hop are both called the Cipher. It also means someone who is insignificant.

I wanted to be an ewar pilot when I started, hence Cipher Jones.
