Would be fantastic to have bubbles work like they should tho. Maybe they'll get sorte right after corp tax gets put in .

If it's private communications, you can't quote it, if it's a public statement ( like from the forums, or IRC public channel ) then it's fine.

I asked the bughunters about this and they can confirm that there is no problem with warp bubbles and that they are in no way broken. This sucking feature is intended, but the chances of it sucking a ship in successfully are not high. Since this is the case and due to the fact that there were no server problems at this time that could have caused this, we can not reimburse your loss. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and we hope that you will recover swiftly. We understand your frustration, but unfortunately our hands are tied in accordance with the reimbursement policy. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us again. We'll do all we can to help. Best regards, [GM]Zworm The EVE Online Customer Support Team

This game has decended to a new low. There is no indication in the description in their own item database of this behaviour, and one must wonder where the people who take advantage of this get this information from.
The statement that "This sucking feature is intended, but the chances of it sucking a ship in successfully are not high." is completely facile. They are quite evidently high enough for unscrupulous players to use this exploit.
I have cancelled my subscriptions and will no longer play a game that clearly endorses exploits and places unfair advantage in the hands of one group of players over another.

No it's not an exploit. We've asked GMs about it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its as simple like this:
As long ccp not alledge it as an exploit, it isn't an exploit. That goes for everything in game

i¦d say as a lot guys now know about this feature its not that low anymore ;)
and about the missing description in the item-database - i think most things in eve arent described completely - in eve u gotta find a lot things yourself (or ask a gm )

But you will still find no Teddybear troops using a bubble behind the gate. That¦s not how bubbles were ment to work. We think it¦s a bug and beeing a buguser is not really cool, or? We place it in front of the gate like allways and people putting it behind the gate use a bug to kill people. If they are officially allowed, fine...we wont use it.
Try a Teddybear spawn or the Teddybear complexes in Pure Blind, Syndicate or empire. |

We need more cool people in EVE...

Edited by: Wathiant on 07/10/2005 19:12:18 Thats rather odd, i warped to a gate at 100km that had a bubble at it and i got sucked into the bubble that was 15km behind the gate, now how did that happen?
I petitioned anyway and got this response.
Discussion Thread --------------------------------------------------------------- Response ([GM]edited) - 10/03/2005 06:11 PM Hi edited, I¦m sorry to hear of your loss. Regrettably I can not compensate you for what you lost. Unfortunately I can¦t verify what happened in this case, i.e. the row of events that led up to the destruction of your ship and pod. Unfortunately we do not have any means to see what exactly happened in this case. As far as we know, the warp disruptors should not work in this way, ie. dragging you into the bubble.
If we are to be able to reimburse losses then the case must be verifiable through our server logs (see our reimbursement policy: http://www.eve-online.com/pnp/reimbursment.asp) but sadly in this case we lack the verification needed.
I can fully understand your disappointment in this matter but I do hope you understand our decision and why we can¦t give you your ship and items back.
I will report this to the developers and notify them of this issue. A bug report from you, a player that experienced this first hand, may help as well and would surely be appreciated: http://bugs.eve-online.com/newbugreport.asp We fully understand if you won't file the bug report but it may prove helpful.
Best regards, [GM]edited The EVE Online Customer Support Team

Simply yes or no will be fine.
*Elaine Marley flicks Jim'ard Stone a Bird.
yes it is! AND BTW for using Insta Jumps you could get banned!
I'm still having a good laugh over this post. I'd like to inform CCP that I use instas all the time since moving about in a BS or hoarder is very tedious without them. And I always use them when travelling through low sec. And Elaine I suggest you start reporting all those exploiting scum that sell/buy instas on escrow, wonder how many will be banned? Using warp bubbles in this way isn't an exploit of a bug and therefore CCP will take no action if a GM sees you doing it. Also Instas are not considered exploits/bugs otherwise CCP would have deleted my post and banned me because all they have to do is check my BMs in people and places and they'll see atleast 750 stashed away in there!

well.... i just read someone canceling there subscription because of this bug/exploit if it is one. I have played alot of online games and trust me.... The DEV's and GM's in this game act alot quicker on exploits and bugs than anygame I have played before. I have only been playing for 6 months but to say your going to quit because of an exploit.... GO PLAY A GAME BY SOE.... then come crawling back and apologize because this game actually does pretty good against exploits and major bugs

Using mobile warp disrupyers 'Bubbles' is not an exploit. Valar said so a few days ago on the forum, and wishes us happy ganking.
I heart all, some more then others though. |
