Okay, bit of an obscure topic. Last year, around this time I recall hearing from friends in EVE-Chat about a Jovian bs that had been found deep in 0.0, in or near the H-74 system (or something similar).
What I'd like to know is, did anyone else run across it? Very few players I've talked to have heard of the Squid, and those which have mostly replied stuff along the lines of "stfu noob" 
So, anyone else have any info? I'm guessing it's an npc not a forgotten Dev toy, as mates of mine have sworn they've lost ships to it.

there was a rouge jove event a while back, that was down in stain iirc.

as i never was around when jove space was open i don't know for sre even if jove npc was ingame.
but if so it's reasonable to assume in some old build a rogue code got through and 1 spawned randomly very rarely.
chance's of it being called squid are low and chances that it did't get stamped out in a build shortly after are low.
on the hole i would say its a higher chance your mate is pulling your leg.

I think I remember hearing about some event with a Jove BS. And with the general organic looks of Jove ships I guess they may very well be able to have produced something that can be nicknamed "squid".

'Squid' was just a given nickname through the design of the ship, I don't know what it was actually called. Being wound up? perhaps, but I don't think separate people whom I would have considered friends would have kept the joke going so long. (I MISS YOU RHIA! COME BACK!! *sob*)

if its what im thinking of:
basically some ppl came on the forums and said they all got wtfpwned by this uber npc, a series of attacks occured over several days all over 0.0, and eventually somebody posted this really badly edited screenshot with this "squid" ship shooting them, i'm sure somebody still has it somewhere :\
thats just from my rather vague memory

There was an event some time ago in Stain. Jove diplomats visited Stain Alliance. The Jove BS was an Eidolon. Some pics and stats can be found here

id really like to see more Jovian stuf in the game. Not Jove tech or anything, just more News items and stuff
EDIT: Also you can look up the stats on the Jovian frigate, "Enigma" on EVE-i , it has some ridiculous stats on it. Slots are 8-7-8 iirc

I remember coming across some placeholder skill requirements for jove ships 
Granted the jove ships are not even built or adjusted in any way and the required skills not finalized but what I saw was...............
Jove Frigate
Prereq
Minmatar frig 5
Caldari frig 5
Gallente frig 5
Amarr frig 5
Jove Cruiser
Prereq
Jove Frig 4
Minmatar Cruiser 5
Caldari Cruiser 5
Gallente Cruiser 5
Amarr Cruiser 5
Jove Battleship

Jove Cruiser 4

Amarr BS 5
And people are worried about Tech 2 BS's. Think what a Jove BS will be like.
I hope that is the real place holder skills and I hope the ships hold up to the reputation to reward such a training feat to accomplish.
