I wonder where I'm going wrong. I seem to die an awful lot very very quickly but everyone else takes ages to die. I don't suck this badly, do I? 
I'm not a bad gamer but under 200 pts in 10hrs play seems awfully poor.
Although, I've had to leave at least 3 servers where USMC spawn points were camped at range by snipers. You'd spawn and get headshotted almost instantly

I cant aim for ****.  At least not as good as everyone else - I get headshotted all the time. But it really sucks when people punish you for stepping on your mine, or otherwise accidentally killing them...
I've been playing 2 or 3 days and I only have a global score of 200. Maybe 6 hours total?

i die in BF 2 more then the whoel corp died toghether in one year time in EvE 
altho sometimes when usully not playing with KIA squad i beat the living **** out of stuff and end up pretty high , top 3

Finally found how to do one of them sig thingies!
As you can see, I die... ALOT. Generally I'll be the first one in and the first one dead. Good job my squad leader is a bit more sensible and let's me spawn around him all the time ;)
I got my metorious unit ribbon last night (or whatever the hell it's called). /me beams proudly

I need help, as I'm getting scared here. I'm worthless with computers, and just received my copy. I installed it successfully and such, installed the DirectX version included on the cd and also the Nvidea drivers located on the cd. After having done that, I start up the game, and the screen flickers for a couple of seconds (quite normal when the screen adjusts to the game's graphics or such), but the bad thing happens then. I get thrown out to windows desktop without any errormessage or anything. I have no idea why, and it's quite frustrating as I want to play the game and have just paid for it.
Any ideas?

Hmm... Got some other help and I think I found the problem. I use a GeForce4 Ti 4200 graphicscard, which doesn't seem to be supported when using the game. Ah well... *orders a better one*.

Had to mention safespots before he believed it was me :D
He even joined my squad 'cause I was default team leader.

 That was funny, I was there with about 4 eve corp m8s, when 1 of them says 'there's a Josh Calvert in here'... when you said you were safe spotted i laughed pritty hard :)
Was that tranquil soul in there as well though? was some1 with a pritty similer name asking who played eve

.and yes the server is extremely popular it seems , even we have to kick loads of em if we want to play since we cannot reserve slots atm :(
Ill get on irc somewhere tom or setup a room and ill join in , ( help me out on how to join irc etc again been a long while :) ) from there on i can "admin" and get you in on request .
ill poke around and see if we can organise an EvE Online night on our server for EvE players only .

as for rules : dont TK on purpose cheat etc and smack will get you banned :)
as for bans , server will autoban after to many tk's even its not on purpose , post on teh forums for an unban unless you deserve one and we'll extend it :P

ok so I suck at K:D ratio, but i'm getting better! Also, the top score thing is FUBAR because it should read 56 for me!
Any Aussie BF2 players get on the OGN servers, best around IMO.

bah, I just patched up and it doesn't work again.
Apparently having a cd-rw as primary drive and dvd as secondary drive means that bf2 disconnects my dvd drive instead of playing.
/me waits for the nocd patch to come out :<

No CD patch gets detected by Punkbuster and you get banned from servers.
I've got a DVD-RW drive as my primary and a CD-RW as my secondary with no issues here.......
