i realised i was getting old when my farts started to smell the same as my dads...
I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |

Realising that:
* I've begun to shout at kids, and shake my fist at them in a menacing manner when they kick/throw stuff into our garden.
* Thinking garden lighting/water features would be a good idea, and going to the extents of making sure they match the colour of the shed.
* Actually worrying about the garden!
* Not being able to drink as much as I used to
* Wanting to go to quiet pubs, so I can talk to my friends.
* Realising that wanting to pull 18 year olds is a little dirty.
* Having conversations with people about stuff in the 80/90's and realising that they are too young to remember.
I could go on for hours.
I am 25.

Reading posts from 18 year old's makes me feel old. Especially when they are full of "prolly's" and relly's" or "haxorl33t" ( etc) with ascii art of cats and god knows what.

I realised I'm old when I had to call my mother and check
how old I am, because my calculations ended me up as "zomgfossile" by my measures.

Well friends getting married.
Remembering where I was on 9/11
Hearing popular songs from Junior High and having teens say "Thats Old School"!!!
Remembering when Nirvana was still together.
Seeing 80s' cartoons come back.
Getting podded by noobs I helped train has to be the worst one for me. I usually log off and go into a depression for 3 days,drinking Jack Daniels and cursing at god.
Damn I am only 20 and I feel like im 40,I need to work less and procreate more.

Commanding ~110 people in a fleet on an online game when about 90% or more of them are 10 years older than me makes me feel ancient..
Also : a few ppl in my corp/alliance thing are about 17-20
constantly being reminded that im more mature than them makes me feel old:

We're all doomed!
Out of my 5 best freinds I have known since I was 5.
1 is married with a kid
1 is engaged
1 has a house
1 is a trained accountant
the last is a student bum like me with no commitment or career.
and we're all 25 
and yes, I want to go to quiet pubs more....
yes I think most new music is rubbish
yes I cant run as far as I used to
yes I have been avoiding growing up as long as possible

I'll be 72 years old in december (honest truth) but video games keep me young at heart. I'd rather 'gank' something than sit downstairs with the other retired fuddy duddies and drink nine cups of tea whilst chatting pointlessly about cliff richard's latest haircut.
