You want it fair game, ok no security rise at all. But remove people on local and let us fly in high security without guns firign on us. We can handle players. But if everyone can go and shop in Jita we want it 2.

I was not serious. I thought it was apparent from the line following the one you quoted.

Originally by: Fellhand Other than something vague about "Industrial overhaul" (which you promise in most patches and which most of us know you'll never deliver), I didn't notice anything about the promised industrial features from Exodus: System belts, comet mining, dust cloud mining or something other than basic miner drones. Normally, I'd moan about CCP,s attitude toward industrialists but it's been going on so long now, all I can say is "figures".
Also, maybe I missed it but, corp tax?
up at the top under features:
Simple Corporation Tax has been added, you can tax ISK mission rewards and NPC Bounties
as for mining drones: More information can be read in this dev blog about what has been added to the market. which leads to: Mining Drone I Mining Drone II under tech 2 drones....
still alot of stuff from exodus missing, but it is improving...

Market Tycoon skill is available on the market.
don't see this in list of new skills, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it does and what it's requirements are?

Ok, i can accept that. But it doesn't address something...what about the people who are going to log on today or tomorrow, read the patch notes, and realize they have 2 days to fix their -10 sec? These people now have no choice. Giving a week or two advanced notice would have been a much more fair change. _______________________________________________________

Wow, I think this will surely change quite a few fittings out there! Wonder how much it will reduce the requirements? 25% like Weapon Upgrades? Or perhaps only 10%...
wonder what the prerequistes are I know many are gonna love this skill it also means I can probably fit my mega and deimos exactly how I wanted :)

excellent.... do you know if it needs Wholesale at 4 or 5?
since retail only requires trade to 2, but wholesale needs retail 5, hard to predict.... got it at 3 right now....

Quote: Look at your map. There are tons of low sec places surrounded by high sec. Meaning a "true" pirate can't possible get there. Moreover, you can stuck there and wont be able to get out.
Ok did the IQs of pirates in this game suddenly drop 20 points with the release of the patch notes. What part of NWO don't you understand. Maybe you should go back and read the Dev Blog about it.
The map is going to change quit alot do to the seperation of the factions as well as removal of some highway systems. Judging by what I've read high sec space will be circled by low sec so no pirate will be trapped between high sec regions.
Please do a little more research before you start whining all over the forums.
Great patch although I'm still a little worried about Tomb's missile nerf.
Oh and about time being a murderous bastard has a penalty associated with it.

One thing I've heard about, but am not seeing on the patch, are the drones getting downsized? From what I've heard, sizes are supposed to be cut to 1/10 of current, but that's not reflected anywhere in the notes. Was this dropped? It seems unlikely, since the gallente dread has 1000m3 of drone space, but I didn't see the size change listed.

So until the NWO is implemented SOON(TM) what are the affected people meant to do?
If they make the change then it makes sense to make the counter change (map) at the same time.
Talking about stupid, what would you call someone who loses a megathron at a gate in a war and then brings a helios through that same gate less than an hour later to be bbq'd?
Don't talk about other peoples intelligence

One thing about EVE that I like is that there are so many different things you can try. If something gets boring, you can try something else in one way or another. So if you one day decide that you don't want to spend 15 minutes on a safespot every time you attack something and instead you want to join the rp wars in high sec space, you can do that.
By fixing the npcs that gives too much sec status increase, it will take a looooong time to get the sec status back up, which you need if you want to try another playstyle that involves high sec space.
How about instead remaking it so that it would get easier to regain sec status up to 0.0 the longer ago it was that you did something that made you lose sec status, and a lot harder if it was more recent?

You and I both know that the NWO was designed with access to 0.0 in mind. Chances are already-small islands of low-security space will be further fractionalized with the new map.
Or at least, thats what I'm betting on. I have a largish isk bet on the outcome of the NWO, and I feel somewhat bad because its a bet I'm almost sure to win.

AFAIK, they're rolling back the bugged sec increases to their correct values anyway. so 1 day or 1 month, you'll still end up with a much lower sec rating if you've been ganking the bugged NPCs.

Is there a reason why Escrow isn't searchable? I mean, really, it wouldn't take much to at least implement some sort of standard for labelling items instead of the giant cluster**** we have at the moment.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. That means Gankers who enjoy blowing up a noobs first ship and force that poor soul to grind for weeks at the belts is now also forced to pay the price themselves.
Now your forced to fight real pilots in 0.3 and below instead of ganking new players. In real life if you rob and murder you pay a big price. So if you commit the crime you gotta commit the time. You should see the jerkoffs in Egg killing new mission runners left and right just for thrills, Every so often I would visit egg and its sad to see noobs in local pleading for thier life.

Edited by: Siri Danae on 03/07/2005 15:27:35 Ok, its my Don Quixote post of the week: (aka my attempt to bring reason to a patch thread)
Guys and Gals, 90% of the complaints in this thread are incredibly premature.
Everybody seems to be looking at one change and determining that it is the end of the game as we know it. However all the changes combined mean that the game will evolve in ways that we can't easily predict. CCP doesn't have a crystal ball either, but they do have access to the database.
I'm not saying that we should cut them undue slack. I'm saying we should play the game for two weeks after the patch, see how the game evolves, and then whine and moan and complain until the devs surrender.

More NPC station in 0.0 Great. That means I can actually stay in 0.0 for a while, vs having to warp out and get shot at every time. Maybe I can even bring in items to 0.0 for sale. Currently lots of 0.0 is pretty much dead with the exception of the main alliance areas under 24/7 watch.
I find 0.0 with its Alliances and politics much more interesting than empire. Nothing beats mining in a roid belt filled with corpses and hoping you survive another run for the border :)
