The Patch Notes for the Cold War Addition are now available for viewing. This is the largest patch since the Exodus expansion and the patch notes are just as substantial. We have tried to include all the changes, additions and removals, but with a patch this size, there might be some changes that made it in, but were not covered by the notes. Additions to the Patch Notes may be made over the weekend.
The Patch will be published on 5 July. Downtime for the patch will be extended to 12 hours and will commence at 0500 GMT. The forums should be available for updates and information.
Be prepared! The Cold War Edition is going to change the EVE Universe as we know it!

Quote: Logging off within a complex will result in the player being warped back to the complex entrance if the player does not log back in within 2 minutes. This is to prevent exploits where a players could warp in just to pick of the end bosses when they respawned without having to go through all the Complex.
Woohooo!

Quote: Some NPCs were giving out too much security rating gain as a reward for their destruction. They have been adjusted to the proper reward.
If this means what I think this means, raising sec status through NPC hunting will take 10x as long as it did before the patch.

Missile System has been overhauled! All players depending on missile combat are advised to test the changes and get known to them before stepping into any kind of danger. Read full report on the missile changes in this forum thread. I really don't like thinking how many missions I've done over time, or how long they've taken on average. |

That depends my friend.
Stations, ok, altho we don't need them.
But the real question is: will delve and Querious resort to being NPC sovereign space ? Making them unclaimable and thus depriving us of the possibility to use outposts or get the 25% POS fuel use bonus from sovereignty ?
Some NPC home regions are sovereign NPC space, some are not... what will it be ? Would be strange to see two sovereign npc regions for one faction tho...so I guess it wont be sovereign space.
And also: Will these NPC station be added ? Or will the PCS be converted to NPC instead of outposts ?
Here we were, thinking we could plan ahead... _______________________________________________

You'll struggle to find a pirate station in a system that is not sovereign to that pirate faction today.
My guess is that you'll lose a constellation out of each region to Blood Raider sovereignty. This will substantially increase the numbers of BR stations in the game (they have all of 2 atm, so 8-10 would be a big improvement) but not totally destroy those regions for players seeking to setup POS, etc.

Delve has NPC stations next patch, querious doesn't.
I'd presume parts of delve get sovereignty, others remain the same - as the conquerable stations are still there. --------

You can have fun because you can throw a fully-trained alt away as a -10.0 character.
People without 15 accounts will either need to go to -10.0 or stop pirating all together. Its an absurdly unneccessary nerf to a profession which has been just battered and broken by a series of absurdly unneccessary nerfs.

Hm...no word about probes & scanner, though they could need some love.
Short of that, nice changes; but the stealth bomber nerf is unnessesary, the ship is already paperthin.
Patience wins. |
