Phased Plasma and Fusion were set for 44 damage, however, the range penalties were the same as EMP, -50%.
The problem they fixed was that PP and Fusion did the same damage as EMP just at -37.5% and -25% ranges.
btw, the whole having 3 -50% ammos wasn't an idea that many people liked (due to lack of range options) so it was canned.
Yeah that idea sucked. They should have instead added an additional couple of ammos for autocannon guys that did the same dmg as EMP with -50% optimal, but different damage types.

Yep. I just don't like that missle users get more damage type flexibilty then projectile users. From the whining, they totally take it for granted as well ________________________________________________________

The only reason why projectile ammunition is doing lesser damage than the others is... ôPeople are using projectiles and they are performing well-good with them. (But they all have lv 5 in all the relevant damages skills now). And the devs canÆt stand that projectiles is useful. ô

I don't remember any dev related discussion mentioning even the possibility of 48 dmg on any projectile ammo types...
This was a bug dude, if it wasn't then why weren't these changes applied to small ammo? (the patch notes say that it was broke only on medium and large) ________________________________________________________

I remember asking about this during the ammo changes. Long range projectile ammo was dropped to hybrid damage, but short range ammo kept its low (44) damage. Hammer had wanted to increase it to 48 so projectile ammo followed hybrid and laser but TomB stopped it because he couldn't justify projectiles doing any more damage at shorter range.
All 3 types doing 44 damage was only in when they all had -50% optimal, the ranges got returned but damage didn't... It was never intended that we could do the same damage at longer ranges.
