I for one agree that travellers are at a disadvantage. I would make jumping faster but at the same time I would make the jumper invulnerable for up to 10 secs after jumping in. Would make things a lot more fair.
Other than that I think the thread started with with whining from an incompetend player.

people jumping in are ALREADY invulnerable for 10 seconds, they just are 90% of the time too stupid to take any action during this time frame and get ****y when they die.

Want to fix this problem ?
Make it possible for a victim (and his gang) to attack the agressor ANYWHERE, no matter where he is (sec rating) for 15 minutes.

Sure! Give me a blaster rifle and a real avatar so I can come into the station and waste a few people. Oh wait....That'd be delivering what SWG was supposed in the end: Ships and infantry combat :P

This is easily the most ignorant post that i've read in the last week!
This posting/temper tantrum basicly says, "i want everything the way that i want it...and if you don't give me what i want, i will throw a fit and quit!" Good, quit! ...having "poorsports"/selfish/shortsighted/ignorant people "like you"...(you are not) alone.... in the game, makes me so disgusted that i also want to cancel my subscription, just to disassociate myself from such utter stupidity and selfishness. ugh... :( is anyone else sick of reading this bull****. Lets get serious, you obviously have no idea about how this game was meant to be played, and there are a multiplicity of successful ways.
Try reading the box. Did you notice the new EVE trailer? What was it all about??? CPP is saying something!!! You obviouly don't want pvp interaction...i ask why you play a mmorpg?
Lastly, You obvioulsy do not read all ther other forum posts on this topic! You might gain some "insight" into this matter if you did!
i suggest >cancel< asap....or..if you think better of it...read these posts and many others, you may find them enlightening. some excellent discussion on both sides.

p.s. i fear for our world, when the reason people play virtual reality games is to have friends, a sense of community, and to boost their ego! This is a game..its purely for fun/entertainment...we are all put on stage together when we play together...sure its more fun to play together..sure we end up being online friends....but its not real...perhaps substantial is a better word. Why play with other people and not computer players? Could it be for the great challenge that other inteligent, creative, inovative human beings bring to the game? The fun of playing against another living breathing and interesting human being, instead of a cold lifeless comp? (edited from cpu...lol thanks lola..hehe) hmmm..i wonder? the dirty jokes and chating about "vitually" anything helps make it fn also. "wink". But man....its only a game! what does a little lost isk...and a bs here or there really matter. What is realy making this game fun for you and why? I find posts like this one, written by adults/late adolecents, to be more than a little disturbing, for many reasons.

That's why all our ships suck. We spent a million years researching how to make sunglasses that much cooler instead of how to make our ships not die.
On the flip side, we do look damn sexy.
