I believe that the silent majority of PA do not condone this act of war on Xelas and clearly it is a PA member who has initiated this.

It may be worth noting the few wannabe pirates (official PA diplomats?) who are condoning this act of piracy.

I believe that the general view of the PA would be is to kick the pirate culprit and his supportive rats out of PA. To have an official PA vote on this would be a small indication of justice and democracy still existing in PA.

Failure to do this would indicate to the eve community that PA has indeed turned dictatorial and too weak to do anything but be run by a few who employ such bullying tactics.

Sadly it would appear that official voting with PA has become few and far between and the majority is no longer heard over the whining of the minority.

If PA think they will get real backup from any other alliance when it comes to the crunch then we will be hugely disapointed, as we was disappointed in the recent skirmishes of the south in HED-GP.

The reason why I have posted as an alt is to deny the opportunity of persercution from these bullies.

The way we reached fighting each other is bad.
But it's certain, that this war is not about Painball and his actions, which were wrong at that point. We would never go to war over this incident.

However, the tension existed before that and it's main cause has been the NAP between Xelas and 5/BoB. I have read the explanation from Xelas side, but I can't accept it. You can't put someone that is the number one enemy of all your allies to positive standings, with the hope you won't provoke him and he will ignore you.

When PA has voted to give Tenal to Xelas, it was done with the hope that we would strengthen the North against our common enemies. Let's face it. Northern Alliances have many differences. Sometimes we don't like each other and we even have reached to shoot each other. But one thing in common of all of us, is that we "hate" and are "hated" by BoB/5 and their friends in the South. Xelas leadership seems that doesn't share the same views for some time.

This is not something new. I have been informed of a possible NAP between Xelas and BoB for at least a month. We have chosen to investigate it and I had a talk with Cochise, about it. The answer was that they did not have a NAP, but we could not consider their support against a possible BoB/5 invasion for granted. And the issue isn't so much military support. But we expected Xelas to declare that they are on the same side as any other Northern Alliance and not sit by, waiting for the outcome of the war.

That is a major problem and many in the PA were dissapointed by this behavior. We trusted Xelas and gave them a region without any return. Only return we hoped for, was a trusted ally. It seems survival is more important than friendship.

So to conclude, war with Xelas, was sparked by a wrong action, but we consider the real reasons, valid.

Failure to do so would mean PA has indeed turned dictatorial and is unable to abide by its own principles in its own charter.

Furthermore, does it now mean in future that PA can engineer excuses to quench certain PA diplomats and individuals thirst for PVP in neighbouring systems and thus save them the effort of travelling half of the eve galaxy for PVP?
