Late last night (1 or 2 AM eve time) I coudn't get past "entereing game as ..." and this morning I still can't. Let's hope DT fixes it.
Quite disappointed by the response time and lack of information

Just a little contribution.
We have an Eula where we have a lot of rules to follow, why not to have a little clausule about server downtime like.
If CCP does not runs the server 80% of the 23 hours daily, they will extend the time of all accounts 1 more day.

There was an ingame popup message from the GMs saying that the problems would not be fixed before downtime, and asking not to file any more stuck petitions until after downtime.
can you tell us why ccp hasnt made the same information available on the forums? it would stop half of the complaints, all most people want from ccp if better comunication the pop up ingame is ok if you can log in but if you cant yet again you are left blind

Angry, frustrated and disappointed that both characters have now been stuck for more than 2 hours.
A game's reputation can be lost completely over issues like this.

steer clear of aidart aswell, i got stuck there, and you guys needs to stop chucking a hissy fit, problems happen, they'll get fixed in time, and paitence is a virtue.

Hey People,
I feel I should post this again, with a different alt each time (I hate to be repetitive). It's the weekend. I'm guessing the devs will fix this pretty quickly next week. Seems like the reintroduction of a bug that used to exist a long, long time ago (but not in a galaxy far, far away).

They already rebooted the server today. And it did get worse after that.
How did it get worse? Were you "stucker" after the reboot?
I think he means more systems started to go unstable after each boot up

Jesus ppl... Stop your whining... The internet is unpredictable... Computers are unpredictable... Get over it. The servers are having problems, live with it. They will get fixed eventually. I've not been able to log in for 2 days now and training has probably stopped but i'm not worried because it will be back when the problem is found and resolved.
And stop complaining about paying for this and not being able to play... at around ú10 a month and not being able to play for 2 days is erm around 62 pence!!! hardly as if your losing a fortune is it??
Anyway, just grit your teeth and wait until the problem is resolved like i'm gonna do... man, theres a whole world out there other than EvE, Go and enjoy it.. I did.

Cool, can you stop posting now. We get the point you are unhappy and have chosen to show it by cancelling your accounts. Read the EULA and you will see that you have accepted that the game may not always be available.
Some of us are checking this post for info from the ISDs/GMs/Devs, not for every second post to be an update on how long your skills haven't been training. |

CCP Thanks for keeping us informed, I know what it's like when large multi user systems go down and you try and get them back up. With the amount of changes that you introduce each patch I think your guys availability rates are very good.
And a special thanks to those devs giving up their free time to look into these problems.
Oh I'm now stuck jumping into a system and potentially will miss out on another days war with TSBS however if I'm like this for a while well there are plenty of things to do in real life.

you have clearly missed the point of most ppl concerns - That we NEVER get any really useful info from CCP
they did release an in-game pop up, but that is useless to those that can not get online.
If you are happy to let CCP walk all over you - fine.. personally I have a voice and a backbone and will not.

Having in worked in IT for over 20 years I know that fault finding can be tricky when the the fault/s is of an intermittent nature. I have never worked on a system as complex as Eve with multiple servers all running the same system.
This fault could take time to trace and I suspect they are running diagnostics on both h/w and s/w when the first systems get bugged and then trying to find a common link. Rebooting the system may solve the problem but does not find the route cause of the problem. Its takes time and a great deal of expertise to trace faults through logs, diagnostic reports and debug reports.
Whilst its frustrating to be stuck and unable to play the game, I bet its just as frustrating to be the ones attempting to fix the fault in London and Iceland.
I got to mow the lawn this weekend, watch some TV and even played a few games I not played in a long time. Sure I would rather have been playing Eve but its not as if we have major problems like this every bloody week.
I set some long skills training as well.
Give the devs and support staff a break and let them fix the problems as I am sure they not had time to mow the lawn, watch TV or play some other games in the last few days.
My PC broke a few weeks ago and despite it still being in Warrenty with on-site support it was still down for a whole week. My broadband modem failed last year and it took them 3 days to get me a new one. **** happens to us as well as CCP and computer equipment sometimes goes wrong. But it all gets sorted in the end.

Maybe we should start a thread / poll threatening to boycott the game the next billing cycle unless they pull thier collective fingers out. I wonder how much money it would take them to lose to listen to us and treat us like the paying customers we are.

You folks are being silly about this.
We've been through this with CCP before. They will fix it. It may take a day or two to do so. They are working on it.
If you are going to leave a game because of an issue like this, then please do go ahead, but realize that you're being foolish. CCP will have it fixed within a day or two, and in the meantime there are plenty of other things to do. If you're not going to have patience with the small, dedicated operation that CCP has, then you don't really fit in with EVE.
The rest of us are quite happy with CCP and their efforts to fix this, which we know is crashing their entire weekend. Please keep up the good work, CCP! |

any Devs news helping to understand the situation, atm, i see the servers online, but the starter not finish the loading of client, he stops at GOT UNITS, after 15 mins, a windows appear: server dropped the connection.
here my Ping Plotter data, anytime a "unreachable" appear at the top of the list, see address top left:
