I think BS and large barge mining needs to be nerfed. I also think that the cruisers that have a mining bonus need to be looked at. The profit they make compared to a bantam miner is totally out of balance. I think it is time to remove the "I WIN" button from the game.

Big mining ships should have difficulties tracking small asteroids.
As the result large mining barge will mine 0.0 veldspar moons just fine but to mine ark\crok\bist you`ll need batham.
As a paying customer I request fast solution from CCP or I quit game with my 7 accounts and 28 T2 BPOs on them.

Barges need a boost in mining yield actually since they still don't really get that much more ore than an apoc tbh. |

If I gonna choose between BS and mining barge I will take BS.
1. harder
2. can defend in 0.0 from rats (pirates are still big problem as always everywere)
3. mining yield with 8 mining lasers t2 is g8 plus mining drones (APOC)
So whay the hell use barges?
They are good only for crap velds and best kernite.
And they take to much time to train.

have you ever done level 4 agent missions? You saw the inflation that happened with minerals after they came out. This was because you could in no way make the same isk by mining in high sec space as you could doing missions in hi sec space. Now they've nerfed the raven & made level 4's harder, but i still know of people who solo them. Perhaps this will make them take longer & make mining a more viable option for the min/max isk/minute people.
I'm not disagreeing with you. But I can earn much more by rat hunting in 0.0 with bounties & loot, or by doing level 4's than i can mining hauling refining selling minerals. So if you nerf the bs & large barge then some other nerfs will be in order or all you'll do is prevent alot of people from mining until mineral prices go up to make the isk/minute ratio meet that of other isk-earning options. This would result in even higher prices for tech 1 bs & other non-npc created items.

Specializing in mining isn't an 'I WIN' button, you can't win anything besides ISK by mining, and frankly I don't see a problem. Your not harming anyone, your not destroying gameplay. Your just supporting the market. Frankly mining deserves to be more profitable than other activities like mission running.

I fly ships made out of minerals. Minerals don't generate ISK to the game. I dislike inflation. Therefore I am against anything too profitable that generates ISK to the game. That's why I am not against mining. Cause it doesn't add to inflation.

Yes, I agree with you. It's time to stop the whine-nerf threds.
On the other hand, you really don't need to go into the ships and modules forum. All the good setups are kept secret as long as possible anyway.

omgooses, nerf mining barges. Theyre just giant overpowered versions of shuttles (and we all know that story, the shuttle exploiters go "dont nerf it adapt lol" but we all know something is wrong, especially gallente shuttle with its 80 heavy drones wtf).
We dont need any more shuttles OR BAREGES ! in game.!111
I vote we swap their roles - shuttles can mine and large barges will transport ppl. This will allow gate campers (the only pvp in game LOL!11) to hit ppl who r tehyring 2 get frum 1 plaec 2 teh neckst, casue eve si all abotu pvp. And teh shuttles can be teh minars casue ... well tehyr overpwored.

PS: LOL I was sitting in base one day and this shuttle user came in and they r given special powers from the shuttles liek spidarmna only instead of a spidar its a shuttle taht bit them. lolz i was sittign there and he came up and wuz all "R U A INTY PILOT" and i wuz liek "YA" and TEHDN HE WAS LIEK "ROFL U SUXXX" AND UPPERCUTTED ME LIKE 50 TIMES AND I DIED.
PLZ NERF SHUTTLE AND ORE BARGE USER LARGE PILOTS WTF :(

I gotta agree with you. If you are doing agent missions or 0.0 hunting, you need combat skills, like you do for PvP. For mining and industry you need industrial skills, which you can't use for anything else than making money.

nerf a mining barge........ and mining in genereal..... but then why even bother training skills to mine? if you cant make isk with mining then its going to be even less fun.
We miners have to deal with boredom, isnt that enough? why make people suffer more?
I definitely dont support nerfing a barge or a bs, they are how they should be, as for cruisers with mining bonuses and medium barge make them mine better then large barges yes whoooo, NO. stfu, everythings fine, quit trying to get things nerfed, its mean.

Oh, and another terrible imbalance is that turret users and now missile users need to learn 5-10 skills to be effective and miners only need to train 1 skill up to lvl 4 to be able to use tech II miners. We need a full skill set to compensate here tbh.

go ahead, CCP keeps a close eye on T2 BPOs, they will just be reseeded.
this nerf is a retarded idea, you can make alot more money SOLOING lv4 missions, or hunting 0.0 rats, or camping complexes
and yeah, im gona be REAL afraid of T2 miners on a newbship

why not just ask for a t2 mining barge or a "deep space mining barge" that has a ton of defences to withstand attack. key word withstand.
I dont know why everyone shouts nerf. Id like to take out the time to point out their is a oppisite to nerfing. What it is I dunno yet but im sure we will find out one day or we will all be pvping in ibises and using t2 cvi autocannons.
