The fa has begun to destablise internally, at all levals on the internal boards and the ship is now begining to sink.
Its with a heavy heart that this post is made and the only reason it is being made is that some key members from ex-fa regarding there support for those corps leaving last night/today including a pledge to help them AGAINST the fa if needed has somewhat made me smell the coffee.....
Ex-fa they arnt, they ARE what the fa was, the fa i love was and everything i miss.....
I remember the old days, the small excursions into curse, the yz blockade, back when the catalist that has caused this explosion was a member.
For that reason and that reason alone i shall stay fa and even possibly end up going down with it, but i was here at the start and i will most certainly be there at the end, although my feelings toward big and especialy xan have never been good, there are still some old school fa left (rez,cfi,colsup,fsr) and i will stand by those old school intill we sink or jump together.
To every 1 that are the fa i loved, that includes the people who left the fa proper long ago

Thanks, it was a hounor to fly with you, a privilidge to fight and die with you and most off all proaud be under the fa flag as frends together, its a shame more arnt here at the end(actully some of you are i spose if you in bob that dont really count )
Thanks to the old fa enemys, rubra, bent brum, m0o, species and i hate to admit it even you atuk and shinra.
Feels like an end to a era, sad to see the fa finaly begin to fall apart (although it actully began to long ago) and its been good to have been a member and a hounor to have been part of leading THE BEST allience ever in game (kinda fun to have been the local pest alt on the forum to )

So although most have cut and legged it, whats left of the FA is still here, i have voted within my corp to stay FA while it exists so theres still some fight left in us yet
Im still prouad to be fa even if it sucks a lil these days
And who knows, the fa might even "pull a norad" and return to haunt you molle

Well, everyday it seems a corp. leaves FA.
I dunno if this is a strategy to avoid the IGA war while still being pledged to FA or not.

If only the whole FA would consist of people like you, then even BoB would probably not be successfull against you. (or at least it would be much much harder). My respect for u.

Pains me to see two corps (xan&big) ruin the game for some people :(. But anyway those excursion into CA space mean you could only be in one of 3 corps (that are still FA) Xan, CFI or BIG
My money would be Xan, but who you are? *shrugs*, but good post.

A while ago everyone knew that repeating the same thing over and over again, doesnt make it true. Seems this knowledge has vanished from the game, as did most of the balance.

Speaking from experience, letting go of a bad situation is very uplifting. During the last days of CA the bickering and infighting nearly let me and some friends to leave Eve. Once the rope is cut, its a whole new day.

Roughly one year ago I was only logging on to change skills, I was burned out from Eve and had no direction. A corp m8 suggested that I get a Fountain hunting pass.
I had a lot of fun over the next few months, made some new friends and eventually joined FA when I became a member of Anodyne and then Damage Industries.
I'm still playing Eve after 2 years mainly because of the people I met during that time.
Whilst I realise that players move on in the game and will find new ventures I have to say that I'm more than a little sad to see the probable end to this alliance.

Technically, before the Emergency Council was put into place in late Jan (which ruled Fountain under Martial Law), FA was a Republic, not a democracy (and thus all of the corruption and gentlemens club inner workings that makes a republic less desirable than a Democracy existed). The CEO's were the only ones who voted, not each individual member of the alliance. If it was a true democracy, things would be different... and I think that's part of why I shook things up when I was a member of the Emergency Council. Those who were part of the elite caste of FA couldn't stand the thought of NAP'ing IMP (with RUBRA attached), but I was merely a FC (not a politician) and pushed it through because I knew the foot soldiers wanted it and it was the best thing for Fountain, and it was.

haha, too true. Started a war over the refining tax when cfs was around *cough* greedy, greedy tornsoul *cough*. Tornsould deserves everybit, gl bob with crushing them (not that they are'nt dead yet).

Respect m8. To you, and to all those, who love and fight / fought for Fountain. It was an honor to fight on your side.
One thing to remember for the enemies of FA. Even if FA dies, it'll not be because you've beaten those who really fought for Fountain. It'll be because those people fighting realized, that Fountain Alliance has nothing to do with Fountain anymore.
One thing i have to give credit for: you've shown us the truth. Made us realize how big the problems are.
BoB has clearly shown dedication in its chosen path, and for that - amongst other things - i respect them. :)
Still you dudes conquered my home, and if nothing else happens, i'll make it my personal mission to pay back for it :P
I'm sure we'll get some clear, fair fights.

Fountain started off as such a nice place to live, a pity the old boys club started running the show and screwed it up. There are still alot of good people in FA but the no posting on the boards and tornsouls continuing farce with external politics give the average FA memember a bad rep.

This is the truest of all statments made so far. FA moved from being about a piece of space to being more like a multi-national corporation. No longer concerned with the place were they were born or started to prosper.
Sadly, some old timers seemed to forget that the corps that joined over the last few months did not have the deep pockets that Xanadu, and Big have. We had the will to fight and did so, but did not the money to sustain it. Our crys for real monitary assistance went ignored, or so it appeared.
We recruited allies that if they had been treated better and paid for their efforts, would have perhaps saved FA in the end. But again no joy from the old lions who still kept nawing on the bones of glory days long past.
Those of us that have left, left because we just plain ran out of isk, and could not see that the old lions cared if we withered and died. I know now how a serf felt when his "Lords" commanded them to die because the King said so.
BoB, salute to you. you kicked in the door and the house caved in. You understood what us grunts understood about FA what we have been watching for 6 months happen. Some of us gave you a few good fights and a "story time"  .
Well played.
Please remember though "gone" does not mean dead, and like the clones we buy, you never know just when we will come back and reclaim our home.
Remember the Yangs and the Coms in the old Star Trek show. "That which was ours...is ours again and it will never be taken from us again". Don't get fat, dumb, and happy like the old lions did in FA. Some us still might have a bit of a fight left in us.
