I vote it should be dry, it would cut the time it takes drying after shower or a bath off my mirning routine and I could add that time to my sleep time.

ingredients
- one ounce of moaning at CCP
- one call for replies to your constructive (..) thread
- one tablespoon of bad english

Stir and mix the ingredients in the Eve General Discussion forum for best results. Wait for 10 minutes. Watch as the flamefest develops naturally (don't force it). Serve with a bit of trolling.
Enjoy.

I disagree. If anything the opposite. You see, democracy just doesn't work. Please remember that half of the population is of below average intelligence. And almost everyone will vote their best interest.
If you leave it to the playerbase, you'll get an escalation of weapons to the point where you have instakill ultra power stuff. And then the game starts to suck, everyone leaves, and no one realises why.
It's quite simple. Easy is boring. But few people are going to 'vote' for things that make their life harder (e.g. missiles changes). And many will whinge and moan that it's not fair, their lives just became harder.
I trust the EVE 'staff' to have a clear idea of where it's going. Occasionally they need player feedback, e.g. bug reports, or genuine concerns about 'exploits' and gameplay. But mostly, they need to _not_ listen to the rather huge number of whinging trolls, who moan how it's terrible, they're a paying customer so why can't they have a 'I win' button.

I'm aware of that, but deliberately ignored it since it's so new that there aren't that many graduates and no real experiences with the results yet. At the moment, an overwhelming majority of people currently working in the field haven't gone there.

Quote: Personal attacks are prohibited. Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing an "in character" dispute become an "out of character" personal attack. The game is designed for role playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Keep in-game disputes in the game and off the forum, please, unless it is clearly a mutual, in character exchange.
Trolling is prohibited. Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the forum community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude.
This is found under Rules for the forum. Grow up guys or dont post.

This wins my vote for most ill thought post of the week.. Please ...learn to use F7 (Spell check) and how to properly construct a sentance. CCP has made some great strides in improving the game (albeit with some rather poorly chosen "balances").
IMHO they need to dig down and finish swatting the myriad bugs still in Eve before they throw in additional content. It's a hard road to walk for CCP to balance the demands of players VS system development and debugging.
The last patch has shown numerous shortfalls in stability and balance. What would be REALLY nice is a quick official response from CCP on threads that ask specific (ie NON Flame / Whine) questions so that we, as players get a solid understanding of why they are taking a respective direction in development or balance.
I know it would mean a LOT of reading on their part, but the resultant smoothing of ruffled players feathers would go a long way in cutting down the "OMFG I hate CCP they NERFED me.. and ME alone.. they HATE me.. yada yada yada..."

Originally by: Fellhand Of all of Eve's unanswered questions, why the devs listen in any way, shape or form to the tiny minority on the forums who are firstly, almost entirely committed to seeing things purely from their benefit and secondly, are almost entirely pvp junkies, is one of the most challenging.
I'm surprised this comment hasn't caused a riot yet. Everyone must assume you're talking about someone else.
Nevertheless, I agree. ------ I generally assume the following: 1. 95% of Empire Carebears don't get 0.0 PVPers. 2. 95% of 0.0 PVPers don't get Empire Carebears. 3. 100% of Ore Thieves steal just to upset the Miners. |
