CCP needs to wake up and start listening to players. any 1 who feels the same way about CCP, please reply Caldari will once again rise above the Gallente and take back Caldari Prime! Seriously though, they do listen to the players. It's just that the players want contradictory things. You can't give in to everyones wants, because they are different. Half the people want Instas removed, half don't, what do you want them to do? They can't both remove instas AND not remove instas. Half the people want sec hits for attacks in 0.0 space, half want concord to leave the game altogether and have no sec status at all. You can't do both. They listen to the vocal minority on the forums, then consider the points, and come to a conclustion as to what they think will be the most fun for the most players and goes along with their vision of what Eve should be, then decide a course of action that fits in with thier resources. What you are asking is IMPOSSIBLE.

To my mind though, the more interesting questions are ones like: If I can pay for my monthly sub by Paypal, why can't I use Paypal in the shop? How stupid were we for believing that the industrial content of Exodus would ever show up? What do the drugs on the in-game market actually do? Conversely, why don't the NPC drug carriers actually carry drugs? Which idiot didn't realise the T2 lottery would lead to price gouging and monopolisation of resources? OffBeaT	Posted - 2005.07.29 01:01:00 - [16] yea, some of these changes are going no where for the game it seems. they are gona have too start doing a better job i hope soon or start getting new blood in on the thinking of this game. they cant just keep adding more and more skills to us then calling that more contant for the game, it just an't. its what i call a drag. lets start working on the real problems of the game like 00 or ship rolls in the game. better mission content, fix up the bugs some, work out the fleet battle more so they dont end up just a long range shot out or gang banging. get some control over that market becouse its getting somwhat out of hand. better missions, salvage ships with salvage agents. a real stat war like with the caldari/glant & so on.... eather they have a real small staff or they are just running out of real imagenation for this game. ccp got this far so i hope they can keep it going but i am starting too wonder.

They can't always listen to the player base because i'm sure that 99% of them haven't developed MMOs so they don't know what's good for a game and what's not. CCP know what they're doing. Please remember that half of the population is of below average intelligence. And almost everyone will vote their best interest. If you leave it to the playerbase, you'll get an escalation of weapons to the point where you have instakill ultra power stuff. And then the game starts to suck, everyone leaves, and no one realises why. It's quite simple. Easy is boring. But few people are going to 'vote' for things that make their life harder (e.g. missiles changes). And many will whinge and moan that it's not fair, their lives just became harder. I trust the EVE 'staff' to have a clear idea of where it's going. Occasionally they need player feedback, e.g. bug reports, or genuine concerns about 'exploits' and gameplay. But mostly, they need to _not_ listen to the rather huge number of whinging trolls, who moan how it's terrible, they're a paying customer so why can't they have a 'I win' button.

Please ...learn to use F7 (Spell check) and how to properly construct a sentance. CCP has made some great strides in improving the game (albeit with some rather poorly chosen "balances"). IMHO they need to dig down and finish swatting the myriad bugs still in Eve before they throw in additional content. It's a hard road to walk for CCP to balance the demands of players VS system development and debugging. The last patch has shown numerous shortfalls in stability and balance. What would be REALLY nice is a quick official response from CCP on threads that ask specific (ie NON Flame / Whine) questions so that we, as players get a solid understanding of why they are taking a respective direction in development or balance. I know it would mean a LOT of reading on their part, but the resultant smoothing of ruffled players feathers would go a long way in cutting down the "OMFG I hate CCP they NERFED me.. and ME alone.. they HATE me.. yada yada yada..."
