I have already an open case in this issue. as someone else already mentioned, in multiple EVE instances, only one at a time client freezes and stop working (somehow randomly, I think when more CPU needed from certain client).
System configuration Intel Core i3-3220 CPU@ 3.30GHz CPU's - 4 Installed Memory Ram - 8158 MB (8GB) OS- Windows 7 PRO 64bit GR - build 7601 Graphics adapter - NVIDIA GeForce GT630/4GB memory
I tried many things to find a temp solution at least. The problem solved by changing I/O priorities manualy in ExeFile.exe (for each running client it's another instance). Set priority to HIGH for all open clients (ExeFile.exe).
I've played with 8 clients for 10 hours and there wasn't any freeze How to change I/O priorities info you can find here
http://www.wikihow.com/Change-Process-Priorities-in-Windows-Task-Manager
Attention! Microsoft doesn't recommend such action, something like that can make your system unstable, but if you have that PC only for EVE online it's a temporary solution. |

I've experienced freezing now multiple times on two different computers. Alliances members are also constantly freezing, making it difficult to, for instance, fleet warp away a gang of 50 without losing someone...
In all cases no crash dump file gets generated. Also, the freeze alone is NOT causing a disconnect, that only happens after the user kills the eve process.
Computer 1: OS: Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate GPU: Radeon HD6950 Driver Version: 13.1 and 13.2beta6 Number of Clients: 1 RAM: 8GB How long before the freeze/crash occurs?: Probably at least an hour in all cases. What are you doing when the freeze occurs? The last two cases: Sitting in a gang of ~50 carriers, cap transferring; taking part in a 1000+ pilot fight, with probably 300 ships on grid at the moment of freeze.
GFX Settings: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=bed5s4&s=7
Computer 2: OS: Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate GPU: Radeon HD7850 Driver Version: 13.1 and 13.2beta6 Number of Clients: 1 RAM: 16GB How long before the freeze/crash occurs?: Probably at least an hour in all cases. What are you doing when the freeze occurs?: Last two cases: In a BS fleet of about ~150, just aligning, no fighting; sitting in a gang of 50 carriers, cap transferring.
GFX Settings: Same as above, but 1680x1050 fullscreen
I'll keep an eye on the process CPU utilization next time it happens. |

Note: only one or two EVE clients can be maximized at a time and I have all graphics off or low. Also disable LOD - particles- camera shake and effects. Sound can be on but I see better results with sound also off. That's sucks...but at least we can play till fix comes. |

Hi,
While we have made a bit of progress in looking into this (it happened for example once on my machine), we need to ask you for a bit more information to be able to resolve this faster. Please respond with following information, if you experiencing freezing clients (which do not recover at all):
- Number of running clients, when the freeze happened:
- Full screen / windowed / fixed window:
- Was the client minimized, when the freeze happened?
- Audio enabled? (on how many clients?)

Running Clients: 2 (It would be 3 but since the update I cannot run 3. too CPU intensive now) Fixed Window Dual screen (1 HD 1 SD) Minimized? Good question. I will be aware for the next time. Audio Enabled? YES Fleet? Fleet does not matter. Last night I had 2 whiteouts first time in fleet second was not in fleet.
Log server was running and I just noticed that I can upload zipped files in a bug report. I'll do this and edit this post with the bug report later when I have time. |

I think I've figured out the crashing problem at least on my end. ANY of the clients that are running on core 1 will always crash almost immediately. All other clients are stable. After switching all of the clients to cores 2-4 (I have an ivy bridge i5) I have experience no more crashes, whereas I was getting them almost always right after logging in before (on whatever client was on core 1). |

I've also experienced the 'hanging' Captains Quarters since 1.1.2. has been deployed. I also submitted an in-game bug report. However, I've just used the EVE repair tool and it's fixed the problem.
bloody-well should have done this first, I reckon.

So I'm not really great at this sort of thing, but my client crashed twice in the days since Retribution 1.1 and 4 times tonight alone since Retribution 1.1.3. A dump file isn't generated and I don't get an "EVE has stopped responding" message. I've just been forcing the "not responding" client to close from the task manager. Initially I thought it was only the 2nd client that would freeze but the 4th freeze tonight affected the 1st client so it seems random.
Number of running clients, when the freeze happened: 2 Full screen / windowed / fixed window: Windowed Was the client minimized, when the freeze happened? Yes. In fact, that's the tell that it's stopped responding. The frozen client stays minimized and you can't maximize it again. Audio enabled? (on how many clients?) 2 Was the character of the frozen client in a fleet? Yes, in all cases.
One thing that I've noticed that I didn't see mentioned here is that this has been happening to me while mining with drones deployed. I was concerned that I'd lose my drones but I haven't lost any despite forcing the client to close repeatedly. When I restart the client that froze, the drones are always returned to the drone bay even though they were deployed when the freeze occured. I have no idea if that's relevant but it sure seems odd.

same here , core 1 idle , core 2 on 100% , client not responding , white screen , and that was just one client ( no multiple accounts running)

CCP folks looking into this. Me and an eve friend did some things to attemptto fix this, we went into my eve directories and manually deleted my cache and i updated my graphics drivers. This stopped the issue for 2 days but since dt tonight its starting to happen again. Only thing that has happened since dt was the small patch tonight.

I have 2 complete logserver zips for you. They were too big to upload with a bug report.
First file was not fleeted and was not minimized. I run dual screen and I am pretty sure that the focus was on the client that did not crash. The crash happened with in 20 mins or so of the end of the logfile.
Second file was not fleeted and was minimized (both screens). Not sure when the client crashed on this one, sorry. I went afk and fell asleep.
Just thought I would mention that I can't replicate the issue during the daytime (-8:00 GMT here in San Diego). The clients will crash multiple times during US primetime and after. ((now that I said that it will probably crash multiple times today 8-p)) EDIT: 17:21 (eve time) as I finished this post and maximized my clients one of them crashed (Murphy). Log server was not running. starting it again now.
