[1] No doubt this has already been proposed. A galaxy wide invasion by an NPC alien force. A race thats dedicated to destroying all the others. A few skirmishes at first, some unknown craft sighted in the outer parts of the galaxy. The raids steadily building into an outright invasion. Capture of alien technology would result in the ability to research new equipment and ships. Stupid? Maybe, I like the idea though ;-) |

[5] I've always thought a massive event like this would be really fun, espeially if it completley disrupts normal gameplay. I think alot of people would ***** when their ability to make money was reduced, but it would make the game far more interesting. |

[11] Aye, complete disruption of the gameplay wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. The invasion could be spread over a few months, a few random sightings early on. No combat at first, just a few unidentified ships appearing on the scanners then moving quickly away. If the Eve lot could pull this off without any prior community warning it'd be fantastic. We can live in hope. \o/ |

[13] It wouldn't have to disrupt everything... Like you say, start small - few ship here and there, something for the players to hunt for a while... Then maybe a station for them, slowing building up. Then a large force that moves through some empire system across the map, wouldnĘt go everywhere, wouldnĘt attract those that didnĘt hit it first, so only those that wanted to be involved could. Would be really fun, and something maybe to attract new players etc... ---------- |

[17] Indeed it'd be nice for some new elements to the plot. Since I started playing (mid 2003), I don't think we've had anything really new introduced to the storyline. We've had things like the Jovian ambassador exploding and Doriam being assasinated, but they were existing elements in the story. Terran invasion 4tw! Or possibly 4tl considering the 2000 year headstart they have.. |

[21] Ummm, this concept has been done before....anyone remember the Vrix???? Now, unfortunately, the whole scenario was not able to play itself as Earth and Beyond shut down. Would it be good for the game? Hard to tell...most likely. Would everyone like it? No Would people learn to adapt? Yes Do I want to see this happen anytime soon? Not sure...if they really involved the players and kept the events evolving...then yes. If they simply introduce them as a new target for people to shoot....then no. H |

[23] since we got only one universe, it would be interesting that there would be a real Player vs NPC battlefield constellation, where you have to push them back to their entry point of the constellation, where you can conquer their station and of course they can conquer it back. Think about massive battles, just against NPC |

[25] The entire purpose of EVE being on one big server is so everyone can interact with everyone else that plays. This would be cool I guess to have a huge war everyone could join in on...but they are npcs...who cares. CCP wants player alliances to fight for control of space, no players an npcs. It is supposed to be player driven in nearly everything....they just write up some stories about the empires to give us a rich universe to play in. So this whole invasion thing simply wont happen, at least not for a long long long time. I do see the cold war turning into a hot war between the empires though and people being able to swear allegiance to an empire, and serving it, and fighting people who have sworn allegiance to other empires. within a year I am guessing you will see Minmatar and Gallente VS Amarr and Caldari. And I am betting Amarr and Caldari are going to win :) Russo - CEO Amarria Auxilia XL pod for an XL personality 'Russo, what exactly do you feed your ego to keep it that big?.' |

[27] well the only players that might lose isk's would be the players fighting the emery where as the miners and builders would earn a lot more isk for mins ships and weapons ammo and stuff so it would help the none fighters to earn isk's |
