CCP probably have detailed stats on how many people are power gamers, playing dozens of hours per day, and how many log in every other day when they can find time, but we the playerbase have no idea.
I would love to know some stats on this, and I'd like to invite CCP to respond with some stats (if they want to of course).
However, if that doesn't happen, here's a couple of question to everyone...
1 - How many hours per session do you play?
2 - How many sessions do you play per week?
3 - Do you consider yourself to be a powergamer, or a casual player?
please, don't let this turn into a whine fest, I'm genuinely interested in the makeup of our population, and if CCP doesn't have the information at hand, maybe if we can supply it, it might help them to fine-tune things.

Interesting idea. I'll get it going as I currently have a bee in my bonnet with this issue.
1-4 hrs per day on average
Sometime 2 sessions per day if I'm lucky. Generally a session is 1-2 hours for me

I'd be interested in such statistics as well.
1- once I'm logged in I usually get hold up for at least 4 hours or until the next serverdown. Average is like 5 hours per session I guess (never bothered to look at that at all).
2- pretty much daily...
3- I can't call myself a powergamer, as that would require more online time and more streamlined working within the game, but I'm playing way to much to fall under the casual gamer category

2-3 hours per session, 1-4 sessions per week...
However, I log on during work hours to chat more than anything, lol...
Just don't have much time to sit down & play atm...

5 to 6 hours every night Monday to Thursday...Friday nights up to 8 hrs. 15 hrs most Saturdays and similar most Sundays...Sat and sun vary a bit but never less than 5 hrs .

I went through a period in the last 2 months when I was lucky to play more than 3hrs a week.

Good topic...here's my go;
Monday-Friday one 6 hour session every evening
Saturday & Sunday both average about 15 hrs with each being a single session.
(and all this still after over 2.5 years of live play AND over a year in the beta...still going strong!)

Around 3 hours a day, 6 days a week, with a long session on Friday.
I know I am playing too much atm and really need to try to cut back a bit mid-week, still at least I am not at the stage of the 50hr marathon Korean gamer that died recently!

1 - About 3-6 hours.
2 - 5-7 per week.
3 - not by a long shot.

To get that data from CCP you'll have to make the request in person.
After you receive the data you will promptly be killed.
Faulty testing kept me from delivering the "Logic Editor" earlier.
I was using my own post and it kept blanking everything out.

I typically play 1 to 2 hours a weekday evening then around 6 hours most weekend days. At the moment though I'm taking a break. Haven't played since Sunday morning.
I don't consider myself a power gamer but I don't think I'm casual either.

Currently, my average is about 5-6 hours/night during the week, longer on weekends. Eve is usually the only game I play now, though I do occasionally take a break and shift over to another MMORPG (DAOC, WoW, SWG, Guild Wars), Simulation (Silent Hunter III, IL-2 Stumovik) or Turn-based Strategy (CIV III, Rome: Total War)...
...Or, if my wife has plans for me, she hands me a "honeydew List"... I don't get to play much on those days...*sigh*

Unemployed from Beta to my first few months of playing, (5 months after Beta ended), then finally got a Job with a future. + I have family. 
1: 2-10 hours a month. Could be longer. (Depends whats happening and how long I can ' Pause/Afk' for.)

1 - I've played for well over 24 hours almost constantly a few times, I've crashed out a few times while palying for this long, but have had several occasions when I've been actively playing eve for this amount of time.
2 - I don't think i've ever had a day since I started playing where I haven't been logged in at some point. Not that I can remember anyway.
3 - Addict is more appropriate

About 23 hours a week. Definitely not a powergamer - there is life beyond 19" of graphics ;) Certainly love the game and the uniqueness that creates the community - it is the only MMORPG game I have ever played and will probably remain so (now that I'm spoiled with EVE).

1. I'm typically only on for an hour or two on a particular day (with much rarer 6-8 hour day on the weekend).
2. I probably am in 4-5 days a week or so.
3. Casual player.

**** thats quite shocking wondered why the missus was always pished with me :) although saying that some off them hours are just travelling AFK while I'm at work :)

Had played quite abit long time ago think more then 25 hours aweek.
Now from around 1/2 year its i think around 5-15 hours aweek, sometime no Eve at all.
