For the teamspeak etc is there a way to make an optional extra page used for admin only that communicates with the main forum?
The idea being if someone is on virtual dedicated hosting and has limited ports the admin page generates commands then accesses the remote page stored on another dedicated (likely slower) server.
for example:
Main site: mysite.com
extra host: 25.577.234.44/mysite
You want most people going to mysite.com since it is fast, high bandwidth and easy to remember url.
then when a teamspeak command neads to be given
mysite.com/tsadmin.php authenticated with 25.577.234.44/mysite/tsrelay.php
login verified, access rights confirmed
mysite.com asks tsrelay.php to issue X commands and asks for X information
tsrelay passes on commands and returns information to mysite.com/tsadmin.php
assuming both pages can share an sql server it should be easy enough and should all be done on port 80 which needs to be allowed. |

Hey Guys...
I would like that the mod looked for a certain corp role, eg Director, and assign it to a froum group. I know it's posible to get from the API which corp role the person have but i don't see how to incorporated it in the mod.
Anyone that have success with this and can it maybe be incorporated into a new release? |

The Alliance that use this mod had the same problem... they said it was because the mod couldn't connect to the teamspeak server... have you check that the api has been white listet and that the settings are correct? |

Yeah I've noticed this for the past couple of days as well. When running the script, I am getting:
EVE API Connection error: 60 -> SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
Any workaround for this? Thx. |

I experienced a similar issue at work with authorize.net making changes to SSL certs and nobody notifying me. Had very similar problems until I updated the root certificates on our web servers then it started working. I suspect the issue here is similar but I don't know what trusted root certs to install. GeoTrust maybe?

From what I see, the certificates seem fine. Mind you I am self-taught at all this lol. Also I seem to have fixed the issue on my end, or maybe it's just coincidence and fixed itself, but this is what I just changed to get it to work again.
 In the forums directory, navigate to includes\eveapi\Pheal
Open PhealConfig.php , and go to line 79, or somewhere around there, and change the public $http_method from curl, to file. Example below:
* which http request method should be used 'curl' or 'file'
* @var String

This seems to have done the trick for us, no more certificate errors, and the script successfully runs once again! Hope this helps, and maybe Cyrus can verify that this does actually fix the issue till something more permanent is developed.

I can confirm that using the file method instead of curl fixes it. I wonder what caused curl to stop working out of the blue though, and for multiple people at that. Go0fBall, are you hosting on a Windows machine? If you are, perhaps a security update from Windows caused something to break when using curl?

Glad to hear that the fix worked for you as well! Yes, we do run a Windows Server 2008 box, and I thought the same thing that possibly an update messed something up, but when checking through our Windows update log, the last update was from May 20th, (KB3054476) and reading the description of that update, I do not think that is what broke the script from running.
I'm thinking this is more of something on CCP's end, but again I am sure Cyrus will be able to confirm/verify once he gets around to reading this thread. |

What Version of phpbb are you running?
The mod is designed for 3.0.x and I'm pretty sure it will not work with 3.1.x until there's a new version of the mod. |

Clear your cache:
"Administration Control Panel" (ACP) > "General" > "Purge the cache"
Refresh your Styles:
"Administration Control Panel" (ACP) > "Styles" > "Templates" > each > "refresh"
"Administration Control Panel" (ACP) > "Styles" > "Themes" > each > "refresh"
"Administration Control Panel" (ACP) > "Styles" > "Imagesets" > each > "refresh"
If it doesn't work you should try to install it again |

New in using this, set up is working. Had to use "file" vs curl for API connection.
I see in the old video we can disable API on admin account, but I no longer see that option. We'd like the board admin to be separate from users and API, still possible?
We are using:

Goto Admin Panel -> Users and Groups -> Manage Groups
Select Administrators group an check "Immunity for Api-Cheks" under the Eve API sttings-Section

For those people having cert issues with curl, the reason is curl doesn't ship with a CA list any more.
You can grab one yourself, and add the CAINFO setopt into the scripts (only two spots, in the pheal stuff and the main eve api php file) or that file change will work as well, not sure but you may see a performance hit at scale not using curl, YMMV.
Either way its annoying but fixable, perhaps this mod could ship the CA list with it?
You can get the CA list from http://curl.haxx.se/ca/cacert.pem
Then you just need to add this (adjust the path obviously):
curl_setopt(self::$curl, CURLOPT_CAINFO, '/path/to/the/cacert.pem');
to both the pheal.php and functions_eveapi.php before the curl exec happens.
That sorted it for me, annoying but its a change in curl's default setup. |
