I suspect that in many cases the answer will not be the thing they are famous for.
Molle probably would choose one of the bbq recepies as his biggest achievement :)

I suspect that in many cases the answer will not be the thing they are famous for. You're on my list :) So what's yours? Either my leadership of The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (during their high points) or my membership of Genos Occiderre... I'm not sure which. Both were more challenging, more exiting and more fulfilling than the scam.
As i never heard of genos occiderre i'll make that choice for you : dirty rotten scoundrels it is

Nothing is lost though, as both those persons are highly intelligent and know their stuff. The former more on the business side the latter on group behavioral analysis. So they are still two cases to study with attention even if just to learn how to protect oneself better. A SINGLE ******* GRAIN OF SALT?!?!?! COMEE ONNNN THIS IS BLAND AND TASTELESS AND IT LOOKS LIKE A PILE OF DOG ****. ITS BURNING HOT IN THE MIDDLE WAS THIS IN THE MICROWAVE?????????

When I invest publicly I almost always use alts. So there's no lemming effect or implied endorsement.

One of the others may be able to confirm/deny that, I wasn't as close with him as the EBANK chaps were.
Heard the same but that's just after his accs got taken down for RMT - clearing out ebank to pay for his mortgage was the story - so unsure i he started playing again later on ...

I donGÇÖt mind saying that I am a fair bit (ok then a lot) in awe with these people who have such immense knowledge of this game and have acquired isk (I am guessing this is all for isk) to levels beyond my comprehension.
I wonder if this is knowledge that they have developed in game or that they deal with these areas in real life too and are just implementing the same strategies here. I've been in game a couple of years and most f it goes over my head. It's very little to do with ISK, any chimp can program a bot or macro and obtain billions paticularly if said bot has been running since eve beta. Older players have also obtained trillions simply by being in the game longer and back when ISK was much easier to come by. IE CCP giving out T2 BPO's in the lottery or when CCP devs were simply giving market advise out via comms to their friends, this still happens a lot but CCP has an official policy against it now. Mittens, Chibra, Kugu and others are famous because they have influenced the game they have built community projects that involved players and motivated them to do things, they are famous because of this not because of ISK. Actually isk was much harder to make when us old timers started. Back then we worked our butts off for a month straight to get into a battleship. Today that can take minutes. Remember when the largest belt rat was a cruiser?
Make that 2 months , luckily my apoc worked a lot faster then the bantam.and then i just HAD to check ecp with that newly build raven , 2 months to aquire and 2 hours to enjoy .

I remember working for 3 months to get my first BS (Mission Raven), only to lose it about 5 missions later, with no insurance. A friend of mine *gave* me another Raven, but a week later he *borrowed* it back. He lost it that same night in another mission :( Hard times indeed. Its a shame I didn't know about this game in 2003 like I do now.
You should feel bad about that because MY GOD it rocked ......... speaking like a true bitter vet btw

ISK has never been easier to make than it is today. Back then, the pinnacle of mining was using an Imicus.... (no kidding) That was not the worst part.. When BS came in that was when the greedy industrialists really committed an atrocity.. They all started to put mining lasers in all the high slots and chain mine belts at a rate that was crazy. Proper soldiers must have found this extremely offensive, its basically like grow flowers in a helmet. or Plowing with a broadsword.. Once we had our first 5 BS we ate belts and sold so much mineral that corp paid for all members to get in Battleships skills and all. It was the first few pilots that was the problem, after that it was smooth sailing.
How i loved my apoc
