"when orange bar at top is completly full, grab hauler"
None of your suggestions are going to work. They are not going to agro, the macro will just be stuffed until the person finds out.
Wrong.
The programs that they use are based on figures, everything has to be set correctly before the program is configured for it to work, which is why bumping them about is the best way to stop them.
But if you tried to put your can there instead of theres, that WOULD NOT work as they have to open your can, but the macro is designed to work with an already open can. ---- Join Us

Edited by: TjanitN Tcroxlr on 26/08/2005 14:42:40 You are all assuming all macroers use the same, off the shelf, "Eve-Mine macro III". Some of these macroers use self-made macros that are really crappy because they are only programmed for mining and don't consider ANY of the what-if secenarios. On the other hand, I have seen a few macroers whose macro was so good that bumbing them out of range wqouldnt work because the macro well seek out the nearest roid of the same type and start all over. My point is, while none of the above solutions will work in EVERY case, all of them will work in SOME cases.

Sounds like the ore thief can't fight back without getting concordokened, which makes sense. You steal ore, the miner has the option to shoot you. If you shoot back, you are escalating the crime and concord steps in.

In the past, the only shooting in 0.5+ that didn't result in getting concordokened was war or mission related. This doesn't exactly fit in with the previous model, and it may very well be handled differantly. I wouldn't be surprised to see threads whining about getting concordokened for fighting back.
It just wouldn't make sense to have such an easy out for killing in 1.0-0.5

theres always ways around it. Introduce a newbie alt by proxy then. Get a 2nd acct or friend in a newbie alt to create a can and move the ore over to his can. Then just grab from there and move it into your can that you create. Can belongs to you now and whoever takes from it you can toast them.

That is a pilot attacking a criminal, as flagged do to his/her actions. It's not hard to imagine it being differant for a criminal flagged player attacking the 'victim'

Actually, I think you are being paranoid.
Of all the macros I have seen, they all base their work on repeative cursor movements (eg, moving ore from hold to can), or the color of a pixel on a predetermined location, after which it will initate a preprogrammed series of actions.
If the "macro" miner moves back to a roid, I think you are just being paranoid, and that is actually a live player mining.

Originally by: Bhaal I honestly don't see how CCP will implement this.
So in 0.5 and above you steal ore, Concorde comes & smacks you? Or are you simply flagged, and the victim can fire, but if the Thief fires back heÆs concordganked?
The latter is how I read it. There was nothing in the article dictating that the thief may fight back without getting concordokened, and it states that all the flag will do is allow the (former) owner of the oar to fire upon the thief.
At any rate, that's just my interpretation of the article.
Quote: Criminal flag pilots that take from jettisoned cans which don't belong to them
This is needed to allow the owner of the can to shoot the one taking from his own jettisoned can and to allow the owner to shoot anyone taking from the loot cans which drop from the NPC's the owner destroyed. This does NOT include a CONCORD response, only enables the owner to shoot without getting CONCORDOKENED himself. Could be applied to agent missions too, registering jettisoned containers to the mission owner.

Interesting how CCP is promoting their own exploit. jettisoned can were not meant to mine in them, but now CCP protects the jettisonet canned full with ore. Quite pathetic realy _________________________________

They simply need to dis-allow ore to be placed in jet cans, and introduce a secure can with a similar m3...
Then apply these new rules to loot cans only, etc... ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE |

Once CCP give official suport it it no longer becomes an exploit.

It is not an exploit and has not been considered one for some considerable time (even in Beta). If it were, it would have been patched out ages ago.
