They didn't exist at all in early 2003 - there was no concept of a medical/jump clone in-game then.

First time I got podded (for older players podded means pod-killed, unlike newer players who think it means your ship died) I lost about a week's training. That was around about June 2003 - so in my first month I lost 25% of the SP I had trained.

Wasn't happy about it at the time but TBH I think that's what has kept me going in Eve over the years - the idea that catastrophic loss is just around the corner if you don't pay attention to stuff, and even if you do then that guarantees nothing.

No. If you can fly it now you can fly it after the change. Advanced Spaceship Command V is a requirement to inject the Freighter skill, not to fly the ship. Is it really that hard to understand?
