RUS is proud to announce that after several days of negotiating that they have recently formed an alliance with m0o corp. This was a mutual agreement intended to strengthen both corps strangle-hold over the world of eve. We believe that an alliance with m0o will take us to the next level of competition allowing us to overthrow any aggressors whilst giving us new defensive capabilites and an ability to strike anyone we choose at will. Our first endeavour concerns the mega corp TTI who we shall shortly be declaring war on if the following terms are not met swiftly.
- a payment of 1,000,000,000 isk per week to split between ourselves and m0o - 10 top end battleships of our choice - a personal email sent to each corp leader from the directors of TTI thanking us not for attacking them Failure to comply with these demands will be met with force, resulting in the death of as many TTI members as we are able...you have 48 hours to comply.

Non pirates are becoming a minority it seems. I wonder if anyone will establish a lawful regional control that exists to welcome players in, instead of eject them.

Its nice to know RUS can be trusted.
We had a NAP with them and now they are at war with us. Did we ever interfere with RUS or kill any of them ? sadly the answer is no.
I guess RUS needed somone to attack because they seem to be faltering in the attacks on the stain alliance.
I always respected RUS corp from dealings i've had with various members in the beta and in the live game. That has all vanished now.
on a side note ....why do you bother with the redicoulus demands ? we woulnt pay you if you asked for a dime. _______________________________________________2005.05.02 03:56:57combatYour Mega Pulse Laser II perfectly strikes Sansha's Battletower, wrecking for 1190.5 damage._ |

"Aren't TTI that megacorp who 3 people single handedly forced them to totally relocate regions?"
TTI was never based in one region. so that statement is false.
Some people moved because AFK mining in LT is suicide now. No biggie.
And if anyone thinks fighting people with a fleet of b-ships is "bowling for newbs" is in for a surprise.

Edited by: Nirvy on 28/07/2003 20:15:32 Doesnt matter to me Derek ;) got it from the eve news suite thingy:- http://www.fourbelowzero.com/eve/mdwnews.htm
Nothing personal, i just hate this big megacorps thinking they can push everyone around, put KOS on n00bs etc, shot off whole regions etc. Good for the little guys i say :D
If this isnt true, i appologise, but it seems to be a popular source of news that people directed me to :D
"MDW announces: "TTI will be moving officially to Venal and their operational HQ will be the Annex (Y-4CFK).
Now, who would've thought that the Galaxy's only real "Mega-Corp" - the "mighty" Taggart Transdimensional Inc (TTi) - would ever have problems with "pirates", especially the solitary Jackal variety? Well think again.
Whilst TTi may personify the might of the trading-floor corporation, able too buy up entire regions worth of trade goods, they have never been tested militarily. Indeed their "Military" have rarely even be seen. TTi may have been at war with "Evolution Corp" (formerly TAOSP) for some time now, but the number of victories could be counted on the fingers of a Minmatar thief (Heh! - no hands).
"Mulligan Defence" is, of course, the TTi "division" responsible for the defense of TTi company assets and divisions and is headed by the "troika" of Anla-Shok, Prospector and Zachary: Name your "General" and find your war. It is here that we find one of TTI's staggering weaknesses - every division within TTi is supposed to be self-supporting i.e. Mulligan Defence is supposed too turn a profit and well as deliver victory in war.
So, how do you turn a profit when CONCORD "laws" only allow you to legally operate three corporate conflicts at any one time (Warfare Lockdown Limitation) and then somebody else declares war on you within CONCORD/Empire space? The answer, as Mulligan Defence are discovering, is "you can't" - unless you get your hands "dirty". Simply put, the restrictions on "playing fair" within Empire Space for those Corporations that act "by the law and for the law" are just too many and leave the upper hand firmly with those of the unscrupulous pirate s and "shady" co-organisations. When faced with multiple "Jackals" (one-man corporations founded purely to target TTis War-lockdown limit) there is nothing that Mulligan Defence can do to hamper them, if they shoot, CONCORD will descend in all its indignant might and if they sit there promising "retribution" they get laughed at, after all, there isn't much frightening about a lion that is shackled is there?
""Wonderful. MD doing a fine job as always. I'm getting very frustrated at the complete lack of a coordinated defense that we're displaying. If this is the level of commitment we have to protecting our members against aggressors I'm not sure I want to continue my association with this corp."" So will we never hear the TTi "lion" roar?
This, indeed, appears to be the question on the lips of many of TTis members. Why are MD purely responding to events and not taking control to offer proper protection to the membership? Why is 50% of all TTi weekly tax going to Mulligan Defence if it is so clearly impotent? Of last week's 118 million ISK tax, over 50 millions of that went to Mulligan Defence "Where's the value for money?" says the ordinary shareholder?.
Mulligan aren't entirely stupid though and have without doubt operated a massive "political" effort to help ease their own plight. This effort was directed purely inside TTi and the result of its success is, frankly, amazing:
TTi will move its base of operations BACK to Venal.
Those "Corp-savy" will no doubt remember TTi moved out of Venal, if rather quietly, and concentrated its wealth and mining operations elsewhere, the Bistot had run out and Evolution Corp (formally TAOSP) had been waging a successful "war" against the Venal Alliance in the Venal Region for a while - {ED: - Whilst TTi weren't part of the Venal Alliance (their being a piratical alliance after all) TTI were nevertheless dragged into the conflict as Evolution failed to discriminate between TTi shipping and VA shipping. In truth Evolution Corp~ was essentially taking over Venal for their own purposes.} At that time MD didn't pursue a particularly effective campaign, halfhearted due to the movement of TTi personnel out of Venal in anycase and largely unskilled due to lack of experienced pilots (the TTi Navy was more practiced at firing mining lasers than combat lasers).
So, criticized very heavily from within, MD have "organized" for TTi leadership to call for a return to Venal where, in MDs words, "The gloves will be off". No more hassle from the "Jackals".
Of course what MD had too promise in the meantime was obviously the eradication of a threat from the "Hyena" (Evolution) who have been stalking the TTi Lion with some success. How can MD promise this with so few combat experienced pilots? Obvious really - join the Venal Allianc Mercenary | The Azath |

I was just saying that its not simply as easy as stating what you originally said.
And why is the simple act of beeing a mega-corp bad? DO you like m0o corp for beeing a smaller corp but killing everyone in site for weeks and spitting in CCPs face becauce they were working with "in game features".

TTI never took over a region or tried to and TTI never (to my knowledge) put a noob on a KOS list.
And as far as being on the side of the little guy... well in this conflict he doesn't exist. Neither Moo or Rus can be defined as small. Rus is in fact a highly succesful mega corp.
And for that article, yes, some are moving out of LT because they can no longer AFK mine. Kudos to Going Limp for that, but they hardly made all of TTi flee in terror, they chased away a few miners. Nothing more and nothing less.

Ya know. Based on the past m0o and RUS have proven to be two bad-ass entities. TTI has always been a pushover military-wise.
This will be interesting and you know CCP is going to be happy to know that the largest groups in EVE are about to but heads.
Who will win, I know where my money's at but I'm not saying in case I want to change my mind later.

No, see RUS and moo are calling you out TTI. They fought the SA, had some fun but it gets boring to constantly fight the same people over and over. So now they are moving on, trying to challenge themselves. They are a great bunch of elite tactical fighters.
Now the question is... can TTI put their money where their mouth is?

From what I understand, TTI is unable (due to bug) to remove them selves from their other wars. That's going to make their defense difficult...

I told TTI a long time ago that thier attitudes (mostly higher than tho) and the way they relate to people (insult intelegence every other post), would make poeple hate them over time. Its the same reason that aristocratic societies have revolutions, where all the elitist's are hung in the central squares for all to see. This could have been avioded with a better use of the diplomatic wing of your corp. It can still be caught if you can do it right. Not trying to flame you guys at TTI but just wanted you to know "I told you so". SNIGG is now officially open for business. We are a merc corp looking for contracts. Derek Chill, Some people actually like to roleplay a little in games, especially when there is no actual story yet.
Im just a n00b who has been playing the game for only a month, when a megacorp or 2 kicks me out of a 0.0 and destroys my ship for simply being there, it takes weeks for me to save up and buy another cruiser. Becasue of this i remember who killed me and caused me the weeks of saving up again.
Im sure TTI are a respectable money making corp, and as the biggest, you take the most stick over it. So what if i like to play this game as an anti-megacorp player :)
If you can point me to another Eve news site i would appreciate it, that said i did find that article amusing, im guessing it is relativly true?? if not care to englighten me?
To me..the little n00b player..this is GREAT content, and until The devs release some content, the smaller corps and guys will lap this kinda thing up :)
