At this point I would expect ccp to have the common sense to post an explanation and an apology. I hate it when publishers abuse their customers.

IZON : I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that apology/explanation if I was you 
Aronis : no you are mistaken. What they actually mean is that the server may start to be rebooted at 14:00. In that case it'll be up by around 14:20 or so.
Dear God even SOE are better than this (and God knows they don't have a great reputation)...

my guess is that they're having some hardware problems. Cannot imagine though why those servers have to be down for an hour each days...perhaps to take back-ups or so. They should do that online.

We need to schedule an extented 3 hour downtime tomorrow, 30th of July. This is needed to run periodic maintenance on the cluster.

Jeez, it's only been like this since... forever. Dont' forget your CCP to real time calculations people...
1 Hour IRL = 60 min
1 Hour CCP = 65-90 min
You'd think you would have gotten used to it by now and adjusted... go outside or better yet, take a bath or something...some of you are rather ripe 
At least they didn't trip over the power cord again...

Yeah in the dev blog it says it will be up at 14:00 GMT.
It's now 14:09 GMT, and the server isn't even starting up.
Why do they keep taking a **** on their customers? They should know who is paying their wages..

No. I'm GMT +1 and it's 16:00 here. I'm not sure how daylight savings tuime affects the whole thing though...

SO may people are chomping at the bit to be able to get on and exploit the weakness in CCP's market system.. Can't blame em really.. since the difference between loggin in immediately after down time and 30 minutes after down time is multiple millions of dollars on the trade market.

their time is screwed up. I'm in the UK, and either I've been living 1 hour late for as long as I can remember, or they really need to move the time forward an hour.

hehe... Oki, Im waiting to, and finding the wait tedius as I finshed a skill 5 sec before DT, have now lost 3hrs of training time...
BUT...
even though frustrating, this is life.
Apparently everything under the sun doesnt allways go as planned:P
So Ill quit my whining and breath some of that fresh air somebody mentioned before
Ps. Do I need a skill for that ?? breathing (rank2) is it ??

Come on, you must know that most things computer related take a little longer than the usual given time :)

a LITTLE longer? It's usually an hour.Then it's 2 hours. Then it's late an hour. Now, 17 minutes into the next hour I realise I've been sitting and waiting for way too long.. This time I really am going off to do something else.

I have my free day today - don't have to go to work - wanted to play... - got my first cruiser before downtime - can't await to fit it... - AAAAAAHHHHH - don't force me to play DAoC after 10 Weeks for te first time again.... - AAAAAAH don't force me, to reactivate my Planetside-account (would me cost some Ē).... PLEASE BRING UP THE SERVERS)....
If you don't I have to install ALLEGIANCE AGAIN AND LOOK FOR THE LAST FANSERVER AND TEH LAST DOZEN PLAYERS PROBABLY LEFT ON THAT GREAT GAME FROM 2001..... PLEASE....

This is just unbelievable that they actually want us to beta test a game and pay for it at the same time yet any problems we find they donĘt even fix i.e. instead of trying to sort crash to desktop problems they changed the round dot to a tick. Which was absolutely no need for. The time that is spent on the game is so great that when you lose it due to crashes to desktop or rollback it just makes it pointless. Is it any reason that the game is losing popularity if CCP done something about it maybe then the game would be more successful. I will not be buying any more games made by CCP as the expensive maintenance cost and all the bugs make the game not worth playing Soo whats CCP gonna do about this
