Is it me or are the EVE servers still down, only just come back on after a few days, just wondering if its my machine not picking them up.
Cheers

Yes hmmpf...
If they are going to have an extended downtime anyways then just extend it long enough!!
its 13:24 it should have been up 24 minutes ago. Why not just say extended till 14h?! This looks bad and its annoying to top it off, extending it for 'a long enough time' would look better on the devteam...
Now everyone is left in the dark again. What are we supposed to think now? 'OMG what the hell are they doing, are they screwing up majorly or something??'. If they would announce a longer extention people would get more of an idea that the downtimes and maintanance are progressing seemlessly

It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Edited by: PropanElgen on 30/07/2003 13:29:35 I think someone accidentally did a "DROP DATABASE EVE;" on their SQL-server and they don't have a backup

LOL
It's rare for the server to be less than half an hour late coming back up.

I'm GMT+8 so I find very annoying to get up at 6am to play and then stare at the screen for an hour waiting for the server to come up.
It would have been nice to know if I could have slept until 7am.

why not add an extra hour besides the estimate each time the downtime is extended so ppl can actually do something more important than sit and wait? how come they never get this right at ccp?

Saffron : the server is never ever back online at the published time. On average it's 20 minutes after the time that they state before anyone can login.
As an aside - I don't know why the hell they don't change the published times. They know how long the cluster takes to "boot", so why **** people around by stating incorrect downtime every damn day!

Oh man, this is redicilous... Just wrote a post about how much trouble and problems and 33% of time played just wating for help, server or cleaning up from prevoius probles, now the board chrashed and my messegare wiped out. Argh. Oh well... I guess I give it a few days. Unlike some people I dont have 24 h day free for EVE, I sit down when I got time to play, and then, it's screwed up... *sigh*. Oh well...

I have to agree with some of the other guys up here, why have notices saying that the daily downtime is 1 hour, when I've yet to see the servers back up within that hour, they are always late. So CCP have known, on a daily basis how long it takes to reboot the servers, and still they are trying to bluff people with the 1 hour joke.
