The focus of our interest is a nearby newsboard. Towering in its space above the busy halls of one of the many stations of the known universe, it diplays the usual routine of commercials and meaningless news...
...until suddenly, a brief interference blurs the image of the Quafe Lady, followed by another. Wavy lines of various colors run across the length of the screen, only to be finally replaced by the oversized image of a pair of graciously curved, darkly rouged female lips. They suddenly part and allow a glimpse onto a pierced tongue as a female voice suddenly speaks:
"Trev, is this thing on?"
Another voice, male and somewhat more faint, is heard from the newsboard speakers:
"Yeah. I'm on it."
After a pause, the female lips withdraw a small distance from the screen, and a pair of grey eyes, framed by black kajal and a few strands of dark hair, blink into the camera.
"Oh."
The lips suddenly curve upwards to form a mischievous smile, and a slender hand, adorned by a fairly large skull-shaped ring, sweeps a handful of hair out of the visible screen.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is an announcement. This channel has been hijacked by Siren Shiva and Magic Trev, we apologize for the inconvenience. You'll have your Quafe Lady back in a minute."
The male voice chimes in once more, with an undertone of impatience:
"Yeah, you better hurry up, they're on my tail."
The female lips draw in a deep breath, then continue.
"Dear inhabitants of the universe... we have a problem. Many weeks have gone by, and the Gallente doll... I mean women... have still not come to a conclusion concerning Miss Eve. Sad, isnt it?'
A dramatic sigh is exhaled and resounds from the speakers, only permeating the noise nearby, but sound enough to interrupt the chatter of a few traders and draw a few more curious glances towards the newsboard.
"Well, being the nice girl I am, I'm going to do us all a favor and relieve us from the supension, bickering and infighting caused by this... unfinished... election."
The lips smirk once more and move in closer towards the screen, the female voice lowered to a conspiratorial whisper:
"I heard the dolls... I mean female judges are too caught up in catfights over their perceived prettiness to come to any sort of conclusion anytime soon."
A brief interference blurs the screen once more.
"What part of HURRY UP wasnt clear?" the male hisses from the background.
"Oops. Sorry."
After a brief pause, the female continues, the words flowing more speedily.
"I am hereby going to declare myself MISS EVE, for the following reasons:
-Verone supports me.
-Whenever I enter certain systems, people start screaming and throw teddybears at my ship.
-Despite malicious rumors that state otherwise, my brain is pretty well-developed, and I'm also not underage.
-Half of my victims try to befriend me afterwards.
-Sorry babes, I dont think you're as hot as me.
-My voice sounds female. I heard some of the other clones suffer from genetic mutations.
Direct your questions, congratulations, hatemail, gifts, donations, fanmail to:"
A string of letters runs across the bottom of the screen, briefly interrupted by more interference:
"***[email protected]"
"2, 1... we're out."
The newsboard turns dark, with a single 'OUT OF ORDER' line flashing upon the background.

Eris Doesn't count... no woman in eve can be compared to the sheer perfection that is Lady Discordia.
What people fail to realise is that Eris is not a woman, she is a godess, and therefore cannot be judged alongside us mere mortals.

I think some people have those "must read everything, even if its by people I dislike" implants - kinda rare, but getting more popular it seems...
Smear campaigns can sure be fun when you're the perpetrator, eh? *Haselyn glares at somebody briefly, before you have time to work out who*

Ah well, I suppose when someone is in the limelight as much as Kaleigh, she's going to get detractors as well as supporters. The snide way it's been expressed seems a bit declasse though.
...But that's galnet for you

I could go on saying "you cannot make that call as you posses none of these yourself" but this is really not worth the effort of meaningless back and forth.
As for the second part, I believe Kaleigh covered it nicely (heh, she came to my defense, any comments on that?). There was a time I would have come to your defense also (not implying that you would need, but we were allies), but... well, I'll leave it at that.
I will not apologise for derailing this thread as I am not the one who found it a good place for meaningless personal attacks. I guess Kaleigh is a better person than me.
