So i think a dev played the meta game but broke eula because it was not done ingame but inhouse and with dev tools not player ones...
Unless he fleshed it out further in the thread and it got buried, all that he said was that CCP intercepts/monitors in game communications. If there was a reference to passing it on to interested players I must have missed it. We already knew that CCP can see everything that happens in their game, it would be stupid for them NOT to be able to.
exactly....
well that was the implication i got from the leak was that there was nefarious use of this info... i mean ccp has every right to read chat logs... but to gain ingame advantage from viewing personal logs imo would be a clear violation...

The trick, though, is this: in this case, CCP is announcing their initial finding and bringing it to the CSM, instead of burying it until there's hell to pay. It only took one thread to get it noticed and acted on, right? |

Ignoring the fact that D3 is a serial liar and an attention *****. There's this thing called proof that's required when people make accusations. Darius has provided none. It's a desperate grab for one more second of attention before he fades into irrelevancy. |

agreed... tbh if there was cheeting and it was dealt in house i would rather no know about it anyways...
but i did enjoy reading the leaks... well the stuff about balancing was interesting enough... Ok, so you've corrected my spelling,do you care to make a valid point? -áThere are no stupid Questions... just stupid people... |

Fair enough if that's the case but the phrase they used generally means you got the bullet.
In the UK the phrase has a sub-meaning of "we can't quite call the police in and prosecute but its close so he's out now".
Its probably just a language thing. |

Over here it either means "Malefactor chased out as cheaper than prosecuting" or "Top tallent leaving this sinking ship like a scrambling rat."

I've looked at this and can say with about 90% certainty that I know exactly who this is, what happened and even why.
I won't say since it wouldn't be fair if I am wrong. Perhaps not even fair if I am right.
What I will say is that it appears that an individual that was employed by CCP let his passion for the game override his good sense. CCP Internal Affairs detected it. CCP did the right thing and let him go.
Sad all around but hardly a reason to freak out at CCP. In fact I have to say they did a good job here as I understand the facts and rumors presented.
Only real cause for criticism might be why wasn't Darius III removed from CSM and banned sooner? I hope you voted, you glorious but often apathetic bastards! CSM 8 Endorsements: Ali Aras, Malcanis, Mike Azaria, Psychotic Monk, Trebor Daehdoow, Ripard Teg |

Am I the only one that wouldn't really mind if they "cheated"? They made the game, they deserve to enjoy its perks. They don't have enough time to play as seriously as some people do if they're constantly sorting out bugs, developing new features, managing petitions etc. Cut them some slack? Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.
