put a 1mn ab on my ibis and strafe the enemy. yay! im in gimmie dates, im in forge so if i need to do 150 jumps to get their i need a week flat

Put a 1MN AB in your Ibis and you won't have any power for weapons. Then you'll just be a faster than average target...

Sound funny. 
Reminds me of a duel of my mate two days ago or so.
We had a 'G' in our system, who was in a POD.
We allowed him to get a rookie ship from another station and our diplomat wanted to get a rookie ship too to duel him.
Our CEO was against it because he was needed as a tackler somewhere else.
Well our diplomat got his rookie ship anyway and went to the duel, but got shot by our CEO. So our diplomat just got another rookie ship and then he and the 'G' managed to duell somewhere between planets.
While my CEO was a bit annoyed by the lack of discipline, I found it quite funny.
Btw. 'G' won, but was also in structure.

Eve Radio already did 1v1 frig battles.. was a hoot. ibis battles would be immense.. 75mm gattling railgun, and tech2 small shield booster 4tw

Sorry for taking them to organise this because of several in-game problems and RL stuffs. Anyway, keep on posted, I am drafting out stuffs and getting ppl interested in chipping up prices and bouncing services and hopefully update in Dec/Jan and get this going by Feb.

can I suggest to completely level it, someone with a ship scanner checking to confirm people have only "civillian" or "basic" modules fitted. (no 75mm protoype rails posing as civvy rails...)

TBH, I am planning not to restrict any fitting requirement. I am planning on working on the philosophy, "if you can fit it, use it" for the gankfest. Doubt anyone can over fit with overpowered stuffs.
