actually thats not true at all. in my knowledge Before BoB attacked FA there was "couple" of good PvP corporations in FA... they left FA not becouse they get pwned by BoB but becouse lack of support for the industrial side what was very strong in FA. this of course doesnt lessen BoB¦s success.
This is just what i have heard/read in several places.
A much better description indeed. ___________________________ Chicks dig Brutor's |

Do the "general eve-player" believe BoB will choose friends and targets according to their wishes and their postings on the forum?
Then you must be beyond help and not only you but everyone else who in the last months have told us to make attack our friends.

Kinda like the tom and jerry cartoon's of old. The dog would chase tom around all day tom would see the mouse and place the mouse (jerry) inbetween the dog and himself hoping the dog would take out the mouse and ignore the cat. Same idea.

This is meant in the most respectfull way possible, but my conclusion on what BoB has done is somewhat lessened when iv actually thought about it properly.
BoB v FIX - The end result was a nap between both of you. BoB v PA - PA still exsists even tho it was hurt bad.
Then BoB went against Fountain Alliance which was 99.99% a 'production' alliance which focused mainly on production and mining in my eyes.
Then Imperium - which was an alliance in its infancy when BoB declared war on them, which was then riddled with internal problems such as the leader having real life troubles etc.
I dont mean any disrespect to you or any of your achievments, you have taken down or hurt two alliances quite badly, but if you look at it from the ground up then BoB has chosen to attack very easy targets after the FIX campaign.
Hmm this argument doesnt hold water....
Lets assume BoB are out to 'win' EVE.
*What I write here is my own point of view only.*
As I understand it BoB first came from the north after PA had basically been reduced to rubble and ashes. BoB possilbly ran out of things to do in the north, so their attention turned south. Their first port of call was indeed FIX.
FIX then met its most fearsome foe to date. I mean you could time your watch, by the time of day at which BoB would send a big fleet down to Queriuos. FIX would put up an equal size fleet and go to meet them immediately. Sometimes we fared k, sometimes not, but always it was a learning experience. This went on for at least a month or more. It seemed however that the BoB strategy was not so much to take Querious but to have some good battles. Then again why would you want to take querious when some of the best regions in the game lay to the west ripe for the taking.
A mutual respect grew out of the BoB <> FIX engagements, culminating in a friendship between the two, we even shared a FIXBOB channel towards the end of the fighting.
BoB then took over FA space and has simply started working its way clockwise round the map, taking on whoever stands in their path. Be they easy or difficult to take on.
Why they are doing this, I do not know, this is just what I have seen. I suppose if you wanted to know who is next, you can just look at the map
Maybe if BoB manages to take the whole of the known 0.0 universe, they would then take the fight to CCP itself .....
Either way I'd say that if anybody was to 'win' EVE, I wouldnt wish it to a more organised and amiable group of players. Put it this way I wouldnt mind if BoB won 'everything', you can bet your bottom isk that they would have earnt it.......

lalalalala hahahaha FEAR MY FRIDGE!
Originally by: Snappers But i would like to see a reply from you with my prior post about looking at BoB from the ground up.
The way I see it, Sobaseki, is there are two polarised views of "BoB". There are those who slate us at every opportunity, no matter what we do, and there are those that respect us.
On the slating side we have people who have failed to match us at any point in anything we do (I'm not gonna list names, I can't be bothered with the flames, but they know who they are) and have screamed everything from exploit to lame to gank because we've beat them down.
On the second side we have those that respect us, we return that respect to a man. We've fought them all (including most of 5) at some point in our individual and corporate careers. The latter group all know their limitations, they earn our respect because they push them time and time again. They won't use the "boredom" tactic, they won't logon trap you, if you agree to a 1v1 then 99.9% of the time it will be honoured.
The latter groups play this as a GAME, the former, it would seem, play it as something else. Sure, people have different playstyles and all that jazz, but ours is the dominant one. Why? Because that's how CCP intended it. We put our uber mods, our implanted clones, our faction ships on the line every day of every week and when we die, we shrug and get on with it.
How does that look from the ground up? I have no idea. I respected BoB from fighting them, it's why I joined - I respect a few other groups in this game, that respect is earnt from not being afraid to fail. We don't like losing but, without loss, what is victory?
I don't disagree with any of that. As a PvP Alliance, BoB has proven itself as the 10-ton Monkey. In the past, they have executed well-thought-out plans and fielded the numbers to make those plans successful.
Much like Real Life, warfare in EVE is changing. 5 is currently getting a First Hand Lesson in these changes. They are learning some valuable lessons that... in the end, will make them a more powerful combat force.
BoB has proven that it can field a 100+ ship fleet, virtually any time it wants, and deploy it anywhere in the EVE Universe. In the past, that is all you needed to take control a region.
Now-a-days, that 100+ ship fleet doesn't buy you as much as it used to. Successful Alliances are those that change with the time and implement new strategies. BoB has yet to prove itself in this new era of combat.

Probably don't have the conquest mentality. BoB is about the only alliance that I can recall that actively destroys other alliances. One could say that makes BoB the ultimate pirate organization.

Impossible.

Not entirely true. I've never fought you guys, I've never had anything taken by you guys. Hell, I've never even been to Fountain. I know of no "cheap" tactics you guys have used, and really don't care.
