What is the 2.5m BS Overseer supposed to drop?
I figured it might be something decent (like a chance for a Vigilant BPC or something) so I did it a few times and just got some low level effects and some crap loot.
Is it worth doing more? Is it supposed to drop anything decent?

I've killed him....quite a few times. All he ever dropped for me was an 8th teir box. Nothing more.

I have done this complex a few times, only once has it dropped something that wasnt an 8th tier...i got a Shadow Serp Dual 150mm Railgun, yep a cruiser size turret. I wasnt exactly over the moon

Yes, it's easy in a harpy or enyo, but you won't be able to kill the BS with rails. I've seen some people say they can break its tank with blasters, but I've never tried it myself. I've run the complex lots of times, and have never had a good item of loot drop. Running through both levels is a fun diversion though, and the bounties & effects add up to 4 or 5 mil ISK.

Took me almost half an hour to break that 2.5mil BS' tank in my Enyo with 125mm railgun IIs - by the time he was dead, the entire second level had respawned again.
A whole lot of effort for not much reward, tbh.

Nothing good as far as a i know - 3/10's can be done in plated cruiser in ya sleep

I can confirm vigilant blueprints from serpentis 3/10' me and a buddy got one this week, also get the odd shadow serpentis named item.
4/10's useless, massive risk of getting killed for 8th tier which you can get from second overseer in a 3/10.

I have gotten a Shadow Serp Magnetic Field Stab from the 2.5 mill BS. I dont think its that bad of a deal seeing that it is better than tech II and took me 30 mins to complete the whole complex.

None.  Lows were all tank.
Also, to confirm, almost all 3/10 Serpentis 'plexes drop either a Vigilant BPC or some decent-ish Shadow Serpentis mods, such as energised adaptive nano plates, etc.
Good luck with your timing, though - 3/10 'plexes are permanently camped and cleared out day after day. Understandable really, considering 4/10s are bugged to hell and don't drop faction loot and the n00b 'plex farmers that're looking for a quick buck can't do 5/10s on thier own.

None. Lows were all tank.
Erk! I have maxed gunnery skills for 125mm railgun II (apart from not having small railgun spec lvl 5), and have a mag stab II fited. I use AM ammo. I also have good small missile skills, for the added damage that makes. How did you do it solo?

Did it before cold war in an Enyo.
Ion blaster II and rockets. Takes around 10 min and one relod for blasters.
At that time the Complexes wasnt harvested. I got a few shadow stuffs from the "key-can" in first lvl. It looks like if its not done frequently it has items.
I noticed that everytime i got something from that can was when the complex was completly respawn and had no loot can in it.
But remember. This was before the complex started to drop BPC's.

the claim was a rails enyo did it
I would assume a blaster enyo could do it but never tried, I know a rails enyo uses a TON of ammo trying it

You're right, it did indeed use a ton of ammo doing it. Between 2000 and 3500 rounds, if I recall correctly.
I didn't do anything special, so I can't offer any tactics. I just set a 7k orbit and let rip with the rails and launcher. He couldn't hurt me so it was just a case of waiting *shrugs*.
I had a lot of trouble getting him past 75% armour, but after that it seemed to go down a lot faster.
Next time I'll FRAPS it, or take some screenshots or something. Sorry I can't offer more advice.

ive done it with 4x 125mm II's and 2x dmg mods II's and some dmg implants, took about half an hour

doable in crusader... even easy in this ship (crusader have same firepower as retribution) and much faster in this baby
edit: oh and i dont get anything good from this plex either and i done it quite few times (they are quite camped too)

Plz CCP. The 4/10 Serp plex needs some decent loot drops. All that time scanning and you end up with a measly few bounties and effects. It's not farmable now so really not going to upset game balance is it ?

apparently CCP doesn't bother, since if they would, the bugged loot tables would have been fixed already. They had years to address this issue.

The Serpentis Warehouses are often visited by Angel piwats.. One had even left behind a Domination thingy there.. hehe.
So you can get Gistii, Shadow serp and Domination stuff
