Evil Schemer	Posted - 2005.11.03 07:37:00 - [1] Hi there. My subscription runs out in about a month. In 18 months and 2 accounts, I've gained what some might call a nest-egg. Before I quit Eve, I've decided to be a generous benefactor and give it all away. Well, I wouldn't say give; you will be earning it. I've bounced around a few ideas and decided it would be most entertaining to have a competition to see who can make the best artwork using secure cans jettisoned into space. Anchoring them is up to you (probably a good idea though) and the top three entries will be rewarded handsomely. Best of all, no fierce space combat, interstellar racing or registration fees required. I was originally planning to give the money away through an escalating series of ridiculously tedious challenges just to see if anyone would go through it all, but I decided to settle on something with a chance for turnout. I myself have dabbled in can-art. Having been inspired by that giant "ICE" sign in Jurlesel, I put up this sign at the headquarters of Evil Empire, Inc. in Mimen some time ago. It took about an hour and was done to curry favor of the CEO. Sure it's only half complete, but its visible every time he leaves the station and it'll probably sit there for years to come. It's a legacy I'm proud to say was made half-assed. I also entered an Eve-Radio competition for jet-can art with this amazing verbage (yes, the "S" has a tumor). The arrow points to the only other entrant's work, which I think was supposed to be an anchored sailboat. Now for the details: The Prizes First Place: 1,500,000,000 ISK Second Place: One Caldari Freighter OR 800,000,000 ISK (winners choice) Third Place: Whatever the second place character didn't choose. I may also give out a few million to runners-up that I like. The Location Make your art in the Sinq Laison region of space, 0.5 and up systems only. Moons are recommended since it gives you time to craft your masterpiece in secret without people coming by and "adding their own touches", but if you want to be visible and put it up at a gate or station, that's fine. All I need is the moon name or a bookmark when you are ready to submit it. The Deadline You have until November 21st to set up your cans, at which point I'll view them and take some screenshots, then determine the winners on or before December 1st. Ways to Win These are things that I'll take into account: Creativity: You can write words or make pictures. As long as it's recognizeable, you have a chance of winning, but the more entertaining the better. Effort: The more cans, the better. I'll also look for can spacing, alignment, and general overall image quality. If you have a particular vantage point you want it viewed from, make a bookmark. 3D is always a plus. Don't try claiming an asteroid belt can cloud as your own though. Taste: Please remember that these cans will probably stay there awhile. This means neeners on the 100 km space peeners. I don't care if you do this as teams, with your entire corp, or alone. I'll give the prizes to a recipient you designate. It may be easier to work as a team, but if you're like me, you'd probably want to keep the creative vision (read: isk) to yourself. Either way, I'm giving away 3+ billion isk to whoever can litter the best, so impress me. Also, don't let the character name deter you, it was a corp thing. It ended up looking like Inigo Montoya anyway. I don't plan on resubbing, and would hate to see all this ISK go to waste. I'll only respond to contact ingame.

I'll post screenshots of the entries I receive, and their location if the owner agrees. I'll judge them from the pics I take when I see them, since once they're made public they may be fun to sabotage. Eve-mail Evil Schemer with the location when you have your work ready. It looks like this contest might attract some talent after all.
