I'm getting "The connection to the server was closed.," Also. Anyone got any word on what's being done to resolve the issue?

Yep, I just logged off my laptop to switch to the pc and I cant connect now "The connection to the server was closed." SW London area

See I wouldn't care if it was because the server actually crashed, but the fact that PLAYERS did it is what ticks me off so much.

Does anyoen actually know that it was a player that is causing this? A denial if service attack can come from anywhere, not just player accounts.

I'm a bit cornfuzzled as to how the servers crashed to be honest.
I work in the IT field, and redundancy is king followed directly by the importance of sa***uards. It doesn't make sense to me how a group of people can gather together and crash a server without the service being smart enough to recognize where the crash is originating.
Anyhow, were I to be the EVE Developers, I'd add in a snippet of code that warps anything over 75 or so ships gathered with the same tags to an instanced, self-contained mirror and offset the lag for the main servers tremendously. Just my 2isk.

4s was putting tons of shuttles in Jita to lag out the server. Theres screens in other threads

I normally wouldn't care, but as my skill training has just finished, i am now paying for 'nothing'. If i petition when i CAN get in, am i actually likely to get any training time back does anyone know?

Hmm, I'm not convinced its just eve now. my BB's started to go up n down like a yoyo. Thought it was my network at first but everything is fine so I think there may be two issues here

several BSOD on a system that runs X3 like a dream as well as Fear and HL2 - but Eve...?

There was a contovesry over name change of a long standing Corp called 4s, which appaently was a used by murderers in Yugoslavia as a slogan, the 4s "people' caused the server to crash., because they were mad that ccp changed their corp name....thxs alot you idiots.

I will not side with anyone. But i say this, i posted it somewhere else...
There is a system in EVE named "Balle", that happens to be a Swedish word for the male sex organ. If i am offended by that, would it be possible for me to have the name of that system changed?
btw, SAS is also the name of a scandinavian airline company, are you alowed to have RL company names in EVE?
