The fansubbers don't make any profit from what they do, and they actually help promote the series for the Japanese companies outside of Japanese, and if it's successful, an American company might license it.

More than a small amount can cause brain damage, no matter how good it is Evangelion is decent, and the original Gundam/Gundam Seed were both good though. - Proud member of the [23]. I love anime, but I always end up finding the crap stuff (although I have to admit I did enjoy Gundam Wing, even if it was a bit DBZ in the timing of events. GITS:SAC and GITS:SAC 2nd season (message me if you want to know where to get the 2nd season: there's only one place that has it as it isn't out in the US yet). Appleseed (great movie by the maker of GITS:SAC) Gundam Seed (like wing, except new, and not like DBZ at all. A bit cliche at times, but with a good plot) Cowboy Bebop Fullmetal Alchemist (if you can get past the cliched opening episode, the full series is amazing.)
