I would like to make a correction, the Venal Alliance does not have any right (beyond the right of strength) to claim the Venal Region. Neither does the Stain Allience have any right to the Stain region.
Most 0.0 space is no mans land.
They may have named an alliance after the region, and they may be strong enough to keep others out, but they donŠt really have any just claim on it

That is all the right that we need, and, moreover, all the right anyone can have to a region. We were there first and we have the strength to claim it. So it is ours.
What right does Concorde or the Caldari State have to the regions they claim? Well, they've claimed it, and they have the strength to make their claim good.
We are doing the same thing. Or do you think before a certain group has the 'right' to a certain region that some 'higher party' has to approve it? Where does the 'higher party' get their right to pass approval?

I hope in the future empire creation is added to the game. Then and only then will alliances truely "own" a region(s) of space. Well, they'd be called empires then not alliances.
