I hereby have decided that ISK farming has gone too far. i am, right now, in my hauler in jita
i intend to steal ore, particularly ice, from players in noob corps, with character names consisting of random strings. i urge other players to do the same.
do NOT target normal miners, or we lose the moral highground. we will find the farmers, and we will **** them the hell off.
what you do with the ice is your choice.
please, join the crusade, but do not grief normal players. only farmers. multiple barges in noob corps are a good indication. several players created on the same day are a good indication. finally, check out the names. if its random characters, steal from them. then petition their pasty ass

Yes, do that. And get banned because the ore you just stole was macro'ed.
Petition first, steal after and youre fine though.

Im with Hippo on this one, although I'm too lazy to do it myself. Sure, if everyone gets in haulers and steals from the blatant macro miners, then they'll be forced to stop it.
Macro Mining has gone too far, and nis too blatant. We need some way of fighting back, and hell, if some people want to steal their ore and ice, I say let them. Seriously, as long as people arent stealing from normal, and proper miners, out to make their weay in the world of EVE, then I think it's a great idea. -- bumcheekcity |

I heavily mine in these areas and I assure you i'm not using any macros. I use a hauler and a single mining laser and mine Veldspar in large quanities as I'm poor. Is there any way to identify yourself as legit. I would not like someone to blow me out of space because they think i'm a macro miner, i'm just a poor guy trying to maek some money mining to buy a nice ship |

If you've got a 'real' name (one that's not a random string of characters), then it's a good indication. If you react to conversations and/or being bumped, it's an indication.
Oh, and if your ore gets stolen, and you dont convo, you're a macro. -- bumcheekcity |

tbh, if you are in a player corp, i will be unlikely to target you.
reacting to someone coming at you in a hauler is generally a good sign
convo them, and if they are anti-macroers, they won't steal from you
ofc, if they are just normal ore thieves, that won't help. but they exist anyway, and aren't my fault

Because serious miners don't just sit in a badger and mine with one laser. They get bardges or other ships and fit multiple lasers, jettisoning the ore into a can and come back and pick up the can later with a hauler. Much more efficent. But of course anyone else can come and take the ore from the can.

I thought you could put a password on a large container, that sucks. I need to read the manual

you can set passwords on secure cans. not jetcans
and secure cans are 1/7 of the size of jetcans

Yea, and I'll grief miners. You realise how nasty the can flagging system is?

Edited by: Skelum on 13/11/2005 23:56:24 Could you give a list of systems where there are definite macro'ers?
I like the idea of this, petition them, then take the ORE.

Look for characters in mining barges with chinese names. Although saying so is probably regarded as racist according to CCP, it's the truth
Anyone who ever played Lineage 2 knows what I mean.

if what they do is within the game rules, so is what i do.
CCP won't do anything about it. the playerbase must
now if only i knew how to stop the sale of gametimecards for ISK

"Look for characters in mining barges with chinese names. (..)
For example I just found 3 characters called Kissboy07, Kissboy09 and Kissboy11 in the same system "
... "Kissboy" is chinese name, how?
