Still don't get why there's a launcher. Make it like the good ol' days with a title screen, and a nice graphic and music and all that. Really loved the retribution theme, btw. This launcher's been nothing but trouble
Also, if you're outside a WH that you needed to get back in before server shutdown, and it's collapsed after the server goes back up, can i submit a ticket? I wasn't on the forums today, and didn't know about the shutdown until i got the 10min notice, at which point i tried racing back to no avail.
I really don't get what the whole launcher thing is about. Every game these days does it. All the Bnet games, MC, GW2, everything. The entire LoL interface looks like a ghetto laggy freaking launcher. Why can't I just start playing my games? |

*generic copypasteable repost since a lot of people with launcher issues seem to miss it due to too many replies.. so share this with your friends*
Go to your Eve install folder... usually in Program Files for the ultranoob (let me be i ain't used windows in ages).
Find the "bin" folder in there, inside that folder is *** ExeFile.exe ***
Run that, login oldschool.
Bonus: Make a link for that file, and replace the launcher's quicklink.
CCP was smart enough to allow bypassing the launcher unlike most companies. |
