As the Developer sais, the launcher is experiencing issues. I managed to circumvent this by clicking the "Exefile" in the Bin folder (inside your Eve folder).
I can't speak for everybody, but if you are experiencing issues, try this

Despite the situation, I'm really still really happy with CCP.
I'm going to be patient because this is not necessarily a game of instant gratification, and you know, everything will be there when it gets back online.

you can still play the game when the launcher say offline but you other characters online and working. go thru EVE folder and fine evefile.exe it will bring you to the "old school" login page that's how i got my alt back online and working fine since even thou launcher say "Offline"
I don't always bring out my Absolution.
But when I do it makes the Blue's rage, lol. |

It's actually not a normal thing...though it has been happening a lot lately. Typically Eve is very stable and there are rarely problems. Time to upgrade your hamsters guys :)

What's odd is the API feeds start making screwy quotes at EVE Central, which seem to forecast something crappy is going to happen shortly.,

Whether I use the launcher or the direct path to the exe file, once I choose a character the client hangs as it enters the game. |

Really? Your character has been in game since 2013.05.06 02:13 and you are going to complain? Now if you are posting with an alt I guess I could be off. However I have been playing Eve for a LOT longer, and can say that server issues are NOT the normal thing for CCP. I am sure they will have it sorted, in the meantime go outside and enjoy the sun. |

CCP, these last few years is the smoothest I have seen this game run and I Thank you for that. also the fact that you guys keep updating your systems as much as you do where as most others dont...
