Hello, i know this is the wrong forum, but this seems to be the only way to get in touch with any one in contact with CCP.
In Maspah, sasta and alot of other places in derelik region, there are a large groups of macrominers, this have been petitioned 6 - 7 times, yet none has happend, i'm rather p****d over this!!!
Please take the petitions serious and atleast send out a GM to have a look!

I'd like to have the ability to declare war on alts! then i'd go on a rampage in rens, then the local count would drop to under 50... the 200 alts would be dead, and i would be happy!

Petitioned one group in tanoo, same area you're talking about... Seen a couple groups in maspah before tho didn't petition those. Hard to tell if anything happens, just get the automated (I assume) reply from ccp that they will look into it. Don't get any info on the final "verdict" on the guys petitioned.
Then again, dunno how hard it is to prove it is actually a macro but I think when you find 30 guys all named wakuangXX (replace XX with numbers 1-30 ) and all of them in cormorant destroyers mining the belts with haulers all in bestowers sitting on their cans it might be an indication that something is not quite how it should be...?

Well the sad thing is, this could be a case of low wage people in asian (typically) countries who are actually at the key's minning. While what they are doing is surely for profit, they are very hard to catch because there's someone paid to sit at the key's watching for GM convo's and the like.
So inefeect, they might not be macro'ing rather it may very well be a group of people hired to mine for real life profit.

Easy, monitor their activity hours. Noone plays for 21 hours a day without sharing his account, which is a breach of the eula.
If you cant stop em then at least screw em over at any opportunity...
But tbh, nothing will ever do it short of doing away with npc corps for chars older then a week or two. _______________________________________________

Even though to some people stealing ore is a plauge that the ore theif should be hung by their testicals until they turn green.. sometimes, the risk free ore theif comes in handy.
Easy solution...
Step 1: petition them.. Step 2: Grab an indy Step 3: Pop out to the belt where the macro miners are. Step 4: Take what ever they are mining.. As long as you have petitioned them.. the last standing was that you would be ok. Step 5: go to step 3.

Edited by: xaioguai on 21/11/2005 04:47:48 Just a question
I've been blowing up those miner's ores using the jet can technique with my alt for the past 2 days, does that consider exploit?
I drag all ores from their can to my newly created can then blow it up. very nasty but much more effective then doing the petition. but too effective makes me wonder if that is an exploit

^^ blowing up peoples can is not an exploit. you can do that to anyone and anytime. i recommend doing it to people that are not macrominers and always do it to missionmonkeys.

Try blowing up other people's cans after the patch and you'll be flag'd for open combat in empire space.

Bear in mund, you won't be criminally flagged to all, just personally flagged to the person whose cans you opened. If they are macrominers, there's nothing to worry about.

CCP will not do anything because the microminers are a big source of money. I've petition 'em once, was asked for their names ( smoke me so i'll think something will be done ).
In the long term CCP will loose a lot of players , and the MM will sell the ore between em.
The beggining of the end :(

I am completely fed up with Macrominers.
I'm based out of Amarr empire space, and the region is full of them. They have driven down prices for key minerals like Isogen and Trit.
CCP are simply NOT DOING ENOUGH about this. They could, if they wanted to. Collecting names and banning for 15 days does nothing - apart from keeping the subscription income flowing. Simple ideas which would stop macromining dead include:
1 - Copying a 4-digit random 'security code' before your ship pops out a jetcan. This would limit macrominers to 1 hours mining at most. It would also not impact on real players at all.
2 - Limiting trial accounts to Frigates
3 - Banning macrominers forever, because bad habits don't die (ie prevent them activating another account with the same personal details)
etc
CCP - stop p*ssing around and do something decisive about this, because I'm fed up of having to go into lowsec just to mine some Kernite (which I then sell at an artifically low price, defined by macrominers).

You should be able to open fire on them as you are allowed to defend your self, best bet is to hop onto the test server and test it. -----------------------------------------------

Await no longer:
A nice little group came to Khabi, 1 jump from 0.0 -V- space. They were warned a couple of times (the only sentient being in their midst that is: a tempy guarding them from rats). The while patiently awaiting the results of a petition we killed 4-5 barges and the Tempy guarding for good measue
